As I am working on a X299 7940x build, I wholeheartedly endorse any effort like this. Having these ready to go would be a godsend....

Anyway, I don't really need it, so I removed SSDT-9-minimal-hotlug-injector.aml and temporarily removed Lilu.kext+VegaGraphicsFixup.kext (I thought that incorrect TB-Adapter configuration may affect graphics card), however, my display ports are still not working and my HDMI is only 30Mhz.

@kgp Just to be clear - I am fine with using Lilu.kext+VegaGraphicsFixup.kext, however, I can play more with this stuff if you are curious why this does not work on mine configuration (Attaching new IORegister file).

Can you please further specify what you mean by not working display ports?

I mean you use the same mobo and GPU like I do.. Display ports are working perfectly under both 10.13.6 and 10.14 with SSDT-X299-iMacPro-Vega.aml... Only drawback of using Display Ports: VGA screen resolution during boot.

I don't use VegaGraphicsFixup.kext though and note that if you remove Lilu.kext also AppleALC.kext, HDEF and HDAU will stop to work! Thus, please don't remove Lilu.kext please!

HDMI 30 Hz issues are removed under 10.14!

Thx for HDMI info

By "not working display" port I mean that while connecting cable from pc<->monitor there is no signal - this happens when computer boot (signal is gone when switching from "Linux console log" to MacOs UI) and when connecting DP cable (instead of HDMI) while the system is working. This is strange since we have almost the same setup.

Try to ONLY connect the Display Port Cable during boot. Anyway this issue is not related with macOS but with the VEGA firmware.

Due to the DisplayPort VGA resolution during boot, I do not use DisplayPort at all..

Make this simple test:

Boot with HDMI cable only.. once in macOS try to connect the HDMI cable with the other HDMI port on your GPU, skip the HDMI cable and connect the DisplayPort Cable with each of the two DisplayPorts on the GPU.. Watch simultaneously all related apparent changes in IOREG!

You will see full Display HotPlug and all 4 ports are working!

I would love to get a version for the 7960x! I tried to do it myself but it gets a bit out of order as I went down the line based on the 7980x - this led to it not booting so I just left them blank.

Could be older, the version numbers are confusing. I can't quite recall where I picked my kext up from.

For referece the working GPUSensors.kext is version: 6.26-19-g25631550.1462

And the one that doesn't work is version: 6.26-21-gddf53ec1.1464

From the version numbers it would seem that the one that doesn't work is more recent. but I am not quite sure whether the 19 and 21 are sequential or random here..

As @kgp said @RehabMan's latest version (or at least the latest binary) version 6.26-344-g1cf53906.1787 does not work.

Hope his helps anyone with this problem.

I honestly do not understand the entire sudden hoax around the HW-Sensor kexts and FakeSMC.kext!

For ages, the correct HW-Sensor kexts and the correct FakeSMC.kext of @interferenc for X299, Skylake-X, ATI and NVIDIA are attached to the originating post of this thread (post 1, guide): just download HW-Sensors-IF.zip... And of course, this package also contains the correct GPUSensors.kext 6.26-19-g25631550.1462 !!!!

Thus please, why all these posts and rumours...? o_O:rolleyes:

Hello, im new in hackintosh but after following this great guide (great job KGP!) i managed to have a (so long...) functional asus x299 with 1080ti, i9 7900x and 64gb RAM super fast hackintosh! My quiestion is: how important is to do the E.9 section? i mean my 1080ti seems to work really good, i must do the E.9.2.2 part B implementation? i will encounter problems if i dont do it? isnt these thinks already in the config you have in the efi?

Also happy to inform you that i instaleed succesfuly and with no problems a Decklink 4k I/O card in pci slot 3, its a video out card thats so far seems to work good.

If you are happy with your build as implemented.. don't do it..

Please add your Skylake-X/X299 system specs (mobo, CPU, GPU) to either your profile of signature.
