[Guide] Native Power Management for Laptops

Do you see anything that needs optimisation ?
Can you take look at my clover/kext folder and config.plist , to see if something needs changing ?

No idea what you man by "Five Language Error".
Also, you will need to be clear on what hardware you're dealing with.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

My laptop is Dell XPS13 L322X, and the macOS is 10.13.6. I had generated ssdt.aml by ssdtPRGen. Pasted it on ACPI/patched. Then restart. When loading system on stage 2, it reboot again. This time the screen shows Five Language like the screenshot. After 5 seconds or so, loading the system and restart again when on the stage 2. After remove SSDT.aml, it can work but no PM.

This thread is specific to CPU PM. Try to stay on-topic.

If you have some specific question in mind, open a separate thread to address it.

Boot verbose for more information on your KP.

Note that your CPU will likely require you use XCPM (config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KernelXCPM=true).

Hi.
I have a Dell 3542 laptop with : i3-4005u 1.7ghz , Intel HD 4400 , 8GB ram.

I'm on Mojave 10.14 and i would like you to ckeck if my power management (cpu+gpu) is working at it should.

I'm more concerned about gpu frequency , it. stays at minimum 200 even when i'm playing mkv video (see photo) , when in windows 10 at the same video gpu does all the job. Same minimum 200 when converting video with videoproc (even thought videoproc shows h264acceleration).

Thank you in advance.View attachment 343321

Does anyone know ?
Intel HD 4400 should stay at 200 , even when playing video ? The only time I see max speed is on benchmark.

I am getting this error when I am running the instructions from the Now load it part. I attached the snipped screenshot for details.

Thanks, after use XCPM, it can restart success. But I think it not realize PM totally, because the CPU Frequency stay up 1GHz even if the system is idle. The screenshot of Intel Power Gadget is uploaded.

Video playback is not high demand.

Not an error. It is as expected.

You should test pstates with AppleIntelInfo.kext as is written in post #1.
