New USB Raise Port Limit Patch for High Sierra

Just leave out the ampersand, the "&" in the above, which causes an error. If you have any problems consult the previous posts in this thread.

Very Strange, I don't know why I am having these issues. I did recently update to 10.13.6. After the update I had no problems other than trying to get my thunderbolt card to work (thanks again! @kgp )
Now anytime I boot the computer it hangs at the apple logo. Just loads halfway and then hangs. I added the USB patch for 10.13.6+ still nothing. Any suggestions? My system is bricked. I tried booting in safe mode -x no luck. Here attached is some verbose screenshots.
SIP settings incorrect? Maybe this will help --> https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...s-workarounds-and-current-information.170611/

I tried Everything but my usb 3 still not working. Help me to fix this.

I tried adding the patch but it hasn't worked. Any other suggestions?

Mine's still not working. Driving me mad..

A couple of things to check:

Here the latest USB patch. No ampersand between PMHeart and FredWst.
I edited Config.plist directly. Back up first of course.
Edit after running MultiBeast, otherwise MultiBeast will reinstall the older patch.

I also installed the latest USBInjectAll.kext into /Library/Extensions.
Download RehabMan-USBInjectAll-2018-0716.zip
https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-usb-inject-all/downloads/

I used KextBeast to install it.

See post #328 for details about the new patch.

jamiewoods, I agree with Richard325 about the USBInjectAll.kext--make sure you have the latest. In fact I would check all your kexts for the latest, and review your drivers since there have been some significant changes.

However, if you need to, if you want to address the USB issue properly, you need to create an USB SSDT. RehabMan has his guide here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-creating-a-custom-ssdt-for-usbinjectall-kext.211311/
and this guide is very useful: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-how-to-make-a-copy-of-ioreg.58368/

Looking at Kaby Lake builds one extremely useful one was pastrychef's: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...us-viii-gene-i7-7700k-gtx-1080.198470/page-27

And here pastrychef goes into great detail about the creation of his USB-SSDT. Not only that but he attached copies of the SSDT, and it may well be that you can use his USB-SSDT for your board (or at least it's close as an example). See Page 65, posts 644, 646, 648, 650:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/10-11-0-10-11-3-skylake-starter-guide.179221/page-65
And in #650, pastrychef even has a quick guide in making the USB-SSDT , which I quote:

  • You must have all your USB ports functional to start. This is accomplished by using MultiBeast and applying the 15 port limit patch.
  • You need one USB2 and one USB3 device available.
  • Launch IORegistry.
  • Plug your USB2 and USB3 devices in to each of the USB ports while monitoring IORegistry to see what their HS##, SS##, and ID are. Write it all down as I did in post #646. Using a picture helps a lot. Do not forget to map your internal USB2 header(s).
  • Once you are done mapping it all out, you can follow my directions in post #648. (end quote)
jamiewoods, hope this helps

Seems that I successfully updated from 13.10.5 to 13.10.6. I'm using Clover 4617 and the new AptioMemoryFix-64.efi and ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi. Everything seem to be "normal" apart from the login screen which don't look so nice anymore. However, I can login as usual.

Noticed you are using a 1080ti - I have terrible lag with mine and 10.13.6. I'm guessing you have no lag?

What web drivers are you using? Do you have Lilu and WhateverGreen installed?

That's correct - no lag issues. I'm not using either Lilu or WhateverGreen and i'm using 387.10.10.10.40.105.pkg
