[Guide] MSI GF62VR 7RF, High Sierra 10.13.2

I want to mention that I have an MSI GS43VR 7RE laptop, and following most of this guide, has helped me install Hackintosh on my laptop. There are a few things still not working, such as MacOS recognizing that I have a touchpad, and the speakers are still not working.

For touchpad to work, I Installed ACPIBatteryManager.kext and touchpad worked after that.
For your sound every laptop has different codecs. I suggest you open new thread and ask for help.

The touchpad is technically working, but MacOS is still seeing it as a mouse. I've been going through some threads, and have a good idea of my next steps. Thank you again for this guide.

Thanks so much for this guide! I have an MSI GT62VR and I wouldn't have found the Linksys AE6000 wifi USB dongle without this thread. It's low profile enough where I can live with it. I could change out my WiFi card, but none that I have found that are compatible perform as well as the Killer unit that the system came with.

I still have audio, adjustable brightness, SD card reader, proper sleep / wake functionality, and thermal CPU-GPU readout / fan adjustability to work through, but this is absolutely incredible that I'm able to have a smooth, mostly functional Hackintosh that's so much more powerful than any of the official, portable hardware available at a fraction of the cost. I even got iMessage fully functional! Just dumb luck, really. I never got that fully off the ground with my old Haswell desktop build.

Hello i have a laptop similar to yours, it's GF72VR 7RF. I want to hackintosh too but My computer is in warranty, can i hackintosh?
After you hackintosh your laptop does it have any problem?

Sorry for late answer.
Installing Mac doesn't break your warranty, I recommend you make full backup of your system before trying to install mac or try to install mac on differnet hard drive.
After installing Mac I didn't have any problem except wifi, nvidia 1060, and card reader won't work in mac.

I have been able to install OS X Mojave using this guide.
Everything is working except for the wifi, webcam and the trackpad (I can move the pointer and scroll up and down but the prefpane is missing).

Any ideas as to what I can do to resolve these trackpad issues ?

I am not sure if you have the same laptop or not.
For wifi, it can't be worked on this laptop because it is an intel wireless.
For webcam, you need to enable the action keys in bios after that press F6 and that is for the camera to open. ( please note that I am not currently working on mac )
For the trackpad, you need to install ACPIBatteryManager.kext then restart
 
Hello Goldenegg. I Have MSI GV62 7RD(i5-7300HQ, HD 630/GTX 1050. I have installed you package and working. You have working iMessage?
