Im installing from a newly created Unibeast USB with HS 10.13.5 onto a SFF Pro6300 with an i3 3220, 8GB, 90GB ssd. Im confident of the BIOS settings but have just upgraded it to 3.07. I
I think that the BIOS upgrade is a red herring.

Thanks P1lgrim that's great info. Should we flag it to anyone as if it's 10.13.5 and a standard Unibeast setup related, it might happen more.
Feedback once Ive followed instructions.
Thanks again

Sorry can't properly report back - i fouled up upgrading clover configurator by deciding to update clover too, and broke the booting process and Im now on a different tack fixing things by going backwards to an earlier version of unibeast/hs usb.

Hi P1lgrim, thanks, thats the version of Clover I updated to, Im not really able to test as Im back and working with the drive, but, it's been overwritten by earlier version and upgrading to 10.13.5 went just fine.
The earlier 'firmware upgrading' issue may have been me using 14.2 sys defs :( (too busy checking the bios settings to check the things i knew).
Thanks for your help.

I've attempted to get AppleALC, HDMI audio with my GTX 1050 but it has not worked so far. We are waiting for HDMI audio support to be added to AppleALC kext for the GT 1030/1050 Nvidia graphics cards. EDIT: You can now use AppleALC 1.2.7 if you have a GT 1030, GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti dedicated graphics card.

Can someone clarify for me PLEASE... If I want sound from my HDMI (GT1030) and have used VoodooHDA already do I "just" add AppleALC1.2.7 (and Lilu.kext) with KextBeast and that is ALL I need do.. or do I need to remove VoodooHDA and the disabler kext?

Thanks

If you've installed V.HDA 2.9.0 and the disabler kext that should enable your HDMI audio. You won't need AppleALC or Lilu then.
Use AppleALC and Lilu only with a DSDT patched for ALC 221. Are you trying to use the onboard ALC 221 audio ? If so, then yes, you would remove the Voodoo Kext and the disabler.

HP 6300/8300 SFF Teardown Video
If you ever need to open up your SFF PC by HP, this video will show you all the techniques of disassembly. Most importantly remember to cover up your CPU socket after you remove the CPU. The pins can be easily damaged if you drop anything into the open socket.

hello, this is my first hackintosh and my first post, I have version 10.13.5 installed and automatically updated to version 10.13.6, when restart everything works perfectly.

I bought a hp on ebay motivated by this guide.

I want to thank @trs96 for showing us how to make this pc (hp8300 sff) a "genuine" mac.

Note: English is not my native language.
