Im interested in getting a 15x v8 should probably work the same right? Do you get full trackpad functionality with multitouch?

I don’t think the procedure used for installing Ubuntu helps installing clover, since Optimus on laptops just doesn’t work. (However, my theme ‘minimalism’ now supports a Ubuntu icon so you can definitely use that to make your boot loader look better, check out the release or I posted it on another repo)I wish I can use dGPU too...but it seems like the only way is to disable the iGPU at this moment.

Not sure about the Aero 15x V8...you can see if it works. If it is KabyLake based then definitely since the dGPU is disabled so no difference really. But the last part is true: it receives full trackpad support, as well as all the gestures.

Well, you might need to modify the DSDT as well as your SSDT to make it work for disabling the dGPU. As I said on Github, DSDT is highly machine-based (Although using previous experience it might as well just work if you are lucky) so please configure your own if you can. Aside from using the kext for touchpad, Remember to also inject the USB using USBInjectAll.kext and set the config.plist/inject kext option to True. Then it should work.

Great! I’ll order mine and give it ago. I’ll share updates when I can :)

Hey guys, I was able to install Mac OS 10.13.5 using the files from the GitHub! The only problem is my brightness keys and sound aren't working. Is it because I installed the kexts from the "_MACOSX" folder after I installed the OS? I have general confusion on the two folders included in the downloaded EFI folder with both "_MACOSX" and another "EFI" folder. Thanks.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Brightness works...at least on my machine. You need to go to system preferences/keyboard/shortcuts/display and change your key for controlling brightness(I use F3 and F4 since they are the keys aero 15 use for brightness control.) It won't automatically work like the sound. As for sound...no idea yet. It is sometimes problematic even on my machine for AppleALC, so if it don't work for you, I strongly recommend you switch to the Voodoo sound driver. Please also tell me if you somehow get the AppleALC working!

Thank you RehabMan for watching this thread! I really appreciate your kind help to the community.

But still you didn't attach any PR files.
