HP Probook 4530s - HD 3000 Glitches/Artifacts?

Status

Ok, I did a fresh install of MacOS 10.13.2
Glitches still present. config.plist is the default from Rehabman's GitHub, exept I've added SMBIOS ID.
Attached below is the report.

Edit: I did EC reset. Glitches appear rarely, again most often after sleep/wake cycle.

Why do you have two different copies of apfs.efi in drivers64UEFI when you need none at all?

Note: HD3000 graphics glitches are relatively common, especially with 10.13.x (seems to be a new problem there). There is some work going on with OsxAptioFix*.efi in Clover that may be related. Time will tell. You could certainly try the new OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi to see if it has an effect (also calculating slide value). Read in Clover thread on insanelymac for details.

Thank you for your support and your time!

I know this is an old post but do you still have those glitches?
When I'm watching a youtube movie I have a black line from time to time
Yes, I still have them on macOS 10.13 High Sierra. As a workaround, I use Spectacle App with keyboard shortcuts: Cmd-Option-Right Arrow to move current windows to right side of the screen, and then Cmd-Option-F to resize it back to full screen (not macOS Fullscreen), then the lines disappear. Most affected apps are Chrome, Firefox, Safari and the official Twitch App. Maybe because, I use them most.
I've tried disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome and Firefox, to no avail, glitches persist.
Strangely there are no glitches on macOS 10.12 Sierra, but there other problems with Sierra - after clean install, following Rehabman's guide, laptop restarts immediately after wake, i.e. there is no sleep/wake cycle. That way when I close the lid, I know that next time I power on the laptop, it'll take time to boot. This issue is not present in High Sierra, but there are graphics glitches.

Edit: the laptop has 2x4 Gb RAM

Had the same issues with 10.13.x couldn't find a solution.
Reverted back to El-capitan.

@m0d.

I used a Sony Vaio SE2 Laptop as my OSX Laptop for many years, it had Intel HD3000 and for the four years i used it as my daily driver the graphics would always eventually crap out. Sometimes after just a few hours after a reboot, sometimes it would run for 2 or 3 days and then crap out. I never could solve the issue. The only way to get things back to normal was to reboot.

I tried many times to resolve the issue .... but was never able to get it fully stable, from the investigating and work i did with it I think its fair to say that HD3000 has been prone to graphical glitches and artefacts for all version of OSX to date, sounds like 10.13.x has made things even worse.

Maybe time to think about a new laptop if running OSX is a priority .....

Good Luck
Cheers
Jay

Yeah, I'm thinking about it. It probably will be model 2013-2015 Macbook Pro 15. The only thing that stops me, is that you never gonna know what you buying when buying used/second hand. I don't like MBP models 2016/2017, because "Apple - the dongle company". Besides they're pricey.

I finally broke down and bought a used a 2015 MBP 13 in perfect condition. It is a pleasure to use. I will continue to play with my 4530s; the graphic glitches and occasional freezes were getting old. I may go back to El Captain which was perfect on the 4530s.
