Intel WiFi Driver Effort

I would like to know if the IntelWifi Effort project (especially black80211) is still under development? I am surprised that there are not more developers involved, especially given the potential of the project.

Hi @black_wizard,
I have 2 intel cards here, Intel 8260 and a 6230... if you need some more test users...

thanks

Any progress?

Ok... So, I discovered that if you dual-boot macOS with Windows the Bluetooth function works!
My specs:
i5-6200U (2.3GHz up to 2.8GHz, 2 cores, 4 threads)
8GB LPDDR3 1600MHz
macOS Sierra
1TB 5400rpm HDD (Not the best, but it works)
Intel HD 520 (Not the best, but it works)
1366x768 resolution
Intel AC-3165

Bluetooth shoud be working regardless. Bluetooth was never even a problem....

Hi guys,

Had quite a long vacation in Russia. Soon I'll resume development. Current focus is on black80211 project for understanding on how to work with 80211 stack on Mac. Soon I should receive Macbook Air from one guy, that decided to help to the project. Hope with 2 laptops everything will go faster since I'll be able to attach debugger to the kernel.

Hi guys,

Does anyone has positive experience in debugging hackintosh with remote kernel debugger?

My current setup is: MacBook Air (with TB to Ethernet adapter) and Samsung RC530-S01 with Realtek Ethernet adapter. I was able to connect remote debugger from Hack to Mac, but not from Mac to Hack. When kernel in Hack goes into panic and I try to execute "kdp-remote <ip addr of hack>" in lldb I get "KDP_REATTACH failed" error. When I do the same from Hack to Mac - everything works fine.

I was reading this thread very carefully but i still can't quite understand if Bluetooth works 100%?
i dont really care as much for WiFi, i have a Intel 8260 NGW.

Does the kext activate the bluetooth? people here are not very clear about this...

It probably won't work... special support must be coded into the Ethernet drivers.
I'm assuming you're using Mieze's Realtek Ethernet kext, which does not have this support.

Off-topic.
This topic relates to WiFi only.
