Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

Sorry for the noob question but what is the difference between Supports and Native? Native works out of the box, with no kexts? And supported needs kexts to work?

example:
  • M.2: BCM94352Z/AzureWave AW-CE162NF/DW1560 - supports WiFi/ac and BT4LE
  • M.2: BCM94350ZAE/DW1820A - native WiFi/ac and BT4LE

Hi Tolida,

I Have BCM43602 in my 2017 15" HP Spectre X360 . injection via ReHabMans FackePCI kexts and using Lilu & AirportBrcmFixup.kext to sort out all the patching ... it was all working fine with MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

However I recently updated to High Sierra 10.13.5 ... BT and WiFi are all working fine but the AirPort no longer identifies itself as being 'Built-In' resulting in issues with the App Store and iMessage.

I'm pretty sure it could be down to the fact that FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext (located in /L/E) is not loading but i cant figure out why (FackPCI is loading ok) tried everything in the guide but no dice .... I tried removing AirportBrcmFixup but that did not help, also tried adding fake wifi device id in clover.plist but that did not help either. I've attached requested debug files to this post ....

Like i said all was good in 10.12.6 but not in 10.13.5

Totally stumped :banghead:

Any help or pointers much appreciaited
Cheers
Jay

Update: Ok panic over issue resolved, i removed FixAirPort ACPI patch from clover config.plist and now BCM43602 is showing as built in and all seem good. App Store, iMessage ..etc all working now .... so strange ?

Removed uploaded debug files and not needed now.

Not strange.
FixAirPort should never be used.

Hi toleda,

I'd like to report a strange issue with my broadcom wifi. When I try to access my home wifi network after fresh boot, I get an error: "The wifi network ... could not be joined." However, when I enable hotspot on my android cellphone, I am able to connect from my hackintosh laptop to that hotspot. Then, I disable hotspot on the cellphone, and suddenly I am able to connect directly to my home wifi network. This scenario happens after every boot.

My wifi related setup
Wifi module: BCM943602BAED
Kexts installed in S\L\E: FakePCIID.kext, FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext
Clover config kext patches: AirPortBrcm4360 - fvco, WiFi Country Code (CZ)
OSX build: 10.12.6

Problem reporting files atached.

Could you please advise how should I fix this issue?

Thank you in advance,
Petr

fcvo patch not applicable to BCM943602BAED.

@RehabMan

Any update for Mojave.

I'm using same kexts as high Sierra but only wifi works. No bluetooth icon on system preferences.
