the laptop guide mentions about installing clover to the hard drive (around the same place as installing to usb)

best to read the section:
Post Installation
on post 1:

Thanks again for the direction, I'm most of the way there now and will put together a short post on the whole process once I'm done.

Main things to resolve at the moment are:
* Getting the headphone port working - at the moment audio still goes out the speakers and not headphones when they are plugged in.
* Increase/decrease screen brightness keys don't work.

as you have a probook and an awesome guide to follow, it should all work as long you follow exactly :)

Apparently I'm a deviant/have deviated/have misunderstood something. Will get there though.

Am I the only one having an annoying glitch with screen going off and on from time to time after sleep?

I don't know how to describe this issue. It looks like when you instantly disable and re-enable graphics driver on Windows PC. The screen is not flickering, the driver works fine (it says 1536 mb of memory available and works in full hd smoothly as baby skin). However, the screen randomly blacks out and turns on again within a second. It can happen once in an hour or 5 times in a minute. Totally random glitch. I also tried El Capitan and High Sierra, different versions of Clover, tried disabling ACPI patches, tried injecting only ig-platform-id instead of IntelGraphicsFix + Lilu but none of this seems to help resolving the issue. As long as the GPU is enabled, the glitch is there.

I have to mention that I'm not having this problem using Windows or Ubuntu. I also have another laptop (HP Probook 4540S (i3-3110M, HD 4000, 1366x768) and it runs any version of macOS with NO glitches at all, from Mavericks to High Sierra. Using the same manual from RehabMan.

I have HP Probook 450 G3 (i3-6100U, HD 520, 1920x1080).

I'm familiar with RehabMan's manual. I usually create installation USB using UniBeast + Intel HD Graphics config.plist. After the installation is complete I follow the "hotpatch" manual to make sound, battery and other hardware work. I also tried creating installation USB using terminal and Clover. There is no difference at all.

But as soon as I put my laptop into sleep mode and wake it up, the screen starts to flicker / turn off / black out / blink. Call it as you want. Does anyone have a solution for this?

PS: I also tried a patched EDID which I made using Darwin Dumper + FixEDID. The patched EDID injected just fine but the problem hasn't been solved, so this "solution" is definitely not worth wasting you time.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Thanks for quick response, RehabMan. I made a debug using your manual.

UPDATE: I made a short video for better understanding what I'm talking about. you can see the glitch on the sixth second.
U tube: /watch?v=H5Pr3d2SSSQ

This glitch occurs even without putting the laptop into sleep mode, but not as frequently as after sleep.

You installed the wrong version of Clover.
See link in the guide for correct RehabMan Clover build:

I tried multiple Clover versions. The one I sent with debug info was installed with unibeast for sierra. I also tried the latest version from SourceForge, Clover by RehabMan and older versions that I use on my 4540S. The glitch doesn't go away with none of these. Maybe I need to use some other UEFI driver or settings for 1080p LCD?

After you install the correct version of Clover, you must upload new PR files (any change requires new PR files).
