Dear moderators, that excellent guide prepared by @kgp saved my days even my weeks. You should not remove these pages, which contain valuable information to prepare the X299 system. If there are those who act wrong, please punish them, it is sad that you punish all site members and visitors for this reason. Please open these pages again.

Wtf!!!
They can´t do that, a thread that has so many replys and that is needed by so many!! And without a comment, great @tonymacx86 your are special guys!!

This is sadful for @kgp, the hours and hours to create this great guide and sadful for the community.

This is the only problem you have?

My guide and thread have been removed or disabled by Tonymacx86 and the only thing what comes to your mind is to ask for two yet not anymore existing files?

Gorgeous, man!

You misunderstand where I am coming from but I apologise unreservedly anyway.
I appreciate that there are more important things than me not having these files right now.

But as I also said in the post – your guide is invaluable to many people, and whatever I can do to help count me in.

Hello KGP, i have a question for you. I used the same board, i7 7820x and GTX 1080 Ti. But I have a problem here with safari and Quicktime. The system freezes. Did you experienced that? Or do you have suggestions? I just avoided bios manipulation to unlock 0xE2. Can it be related to this? I would appreciate so much your help and thank you for this wonderful guide

I've noticed that the onboard mobo Wi-Fi module is actually an M.2 under an RF-shield. Is it possible to replace it with something Broadcom'ish and compatible to avoid the PCI-E adapter? I don't really need the WiGig.

Hello @kgp

I've already successfully built 2 systems using your High Sierra guide (thanks for that guide, I’m really grateful), now I need to install sierra in one of those for legacy audio software compatibility, unfortunately the machine has a 1050Ti.

Now the work around says I could use a system different from Skylake-X/X299 but both the systems I have are Skylake-X/X299s but one has an RX Vega 64 (and a macbook running Sierra), Is it possible to prepare the System Drive in the system with the RX Vega 64?

Sure, with the Vega you should not face any problem.. Let me know if the guide above still works or you find any kind of problem.

Good luck,

KGP

Hi @kgp

I am also trying the workaround method for installing 10.12.
Do you think the working 10.12 system must be specifically from another x299 system?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I am thinking that the critical part of a working hackintosh happens during boot right?

In my case I tried to clone the 10.12 system from my working build which is not a x299 system. After that I have tried experimenting with different EFI folders and clover configs. I don't have the same mobo as you but I did manage to get 10.13 to work 99% so I tried using that EFI folder on 10.12 but no luck, I get the "no slide values are usable" error.

1.) The 10.12 system disk must not be from another X299 system.
2.) You might be able to use the my most recent 10.13 EFI-Folder distribution after several adaptation, e.g. after reintroducing all necessary 10.12.6 kext and kernel patches! I would rather try the 10.12.6 EFI-Folder provided in the originating post of this thread and update Clover at first place.

i'm getting stuck at gIOScreenLockState 3 but i have a vega 64 card no nvidia card
