No, either disable inject Intel nor disable the Intel GPU in the BIOS solved the "stabiliser" problem.
I'm using a similar configuration and i use fcpx all day long. No issue at all. I had random freezes before and in the previous machine, but it was all caused by gpu and incorrect kexts/configurations. If u read my previous posts, pastrychef gave me some advices and know i don't have any problems at all.Allright, thank you !!
So far so good.Yes, I use AptioMemoryFix which has been working very well for me.
I have IGPU enabled but have never connected a monitor to it. It is enabled so that features such as AirPlay, Quick Sync, etc. work.
WhateverGreen should help with your 2 monitor setup with iMac18,3.
The version of FakeSMC in my EFI folders should be the latest. You can also check here.
I don't have any true USB 3.1 gen 2 devices, but I have tested USB 3.1 gen 1 devices with the USB 3.1 gen 2 ports. There's a clear and noticeable improvement when using the gen 2 ports. You can see my test results here.

Edit:
As far as I know, all Z370 motherboard use ASM3142 chipset for USB 3.1 gen 2. macOS has built-in support for this chipset so nothing extra needs to be done to get them working. Also, since USB 3.1 gen 2 is on an entirely separate chipset, SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext does not affect it.
Thanks. The Maximus X Hero is actually using a different chip for USB 3.1, the ASM2142 chip.
Anyhow, throughout all this frustration I found out the cable was bad which caused the USB2 speeds...
Fixed that, and now the SSD shows up at USB 3.0 speeds (5gb/sec) and running the disk speed test I get around 500 mb/sec read and write. Interestingly, plugging the same drive into a genuine 2017 MBP, it identifies as a USB 3.1 gen 2 device at 10gb/sec. The fun continues...
The ASM2142 and ASM1142 should also have native support in macOS.
I would not worry too much about System Information reporting that it's running at 5GB/s. Apparently System Information incorrectly reports this information.

If you are pushing 500MB/s, I suspect you are getting USB 3.1 gen 2 levels of performance. In the following article, they only managed approx 400MB/s on USB 3.1 gen 1.

That's what I was thinking, but was waiting to re-run the same test on the MBP. There's an interesting long read in the comments section on Piker's old site regarding incorrect USB 3.1 reported speeds that somewhat tapers off without a resolution. Here's a link. https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/2016/11/10/two-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-pci-express-card/
I didn't see anything regarding speeds tapering off... I just saw that Pike found the cause of the incorrect 5MB/s reporting. Unfortunately, disaster befell him and his family and he's no longer part of the community. Best wishes to him and his family.
