Hi there,

I have the same problem with my Z600 after following the configuration of BIOS etc, I can reach until the installation with a HDD plugged into port SATA 0 but none of the USB ports are working so I can't actually install the OS.

Thanks for the advices

Why are you using a USB if you are installing from HDD plugged in to the Z600 Motherboard via the SATA 0 controller?

Once you have created the UniBeast installer on a HDD (NOT a USB) as per the guide, the HDD must be plugged in to the Z600 Sata 0 controller on the motherboard, this is where you boot the installer from - not a USB.

Thank you for your reply d4vinder, sorry for not been clear enough with my explanation. I meant once I got into the installation phase, you can't use a USB mouse/keyboard in order to format the disk or whatever. That's what the PS2 mouse kext for right :) So everything went very smooth after that. I've now got a Z600 Hackintosh working with X5660 + 24Gb ECC and Nvidia GTX 780 Ti running on 10.13.3. Have you updated into 10.13.4? Thank you again for your amazing post!

Amazing work here!

I’ve read there might be a work around for NVMe support on this board. Can anyone else confirm?

I’ve been told only ahci SSDs will work

Correct, the PS2 kext is to enable the PS2 keyboard and mouse, as USB is not working during the install phase.

I upgraded and rebooted without any issues. This is due to the way the Clover boot partition works, neat hey!

I have updated to 10.13.4 without any issues at all. Just like a normal Mac. :)

Hey, I am trying to do the same installation but on a z640 and I get stuck after I click install os from macOS highsierra; it starts in verbose mode and only prints out 5 lines and then gets stuck. these are the lines:

Freeing low memory (up to 0x200000)
Result = 0
OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for \.IABootFiles\boot.efi
Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no

Greetings.. is there a hope in the heavens that will allow me to implement Thunderbolt2 with my Z600? Thanks.

Hey d4vinder great work on this and the tutorial. I'm about to give this a try on my Z600.
One question I have is do you need a ps2 keyboard and mouse? That bit was a little confusing, and it wasn't listed in the "What you will need" section.

Yes you will require a PS2 keyboard and mouse until you reach the point where we activate USB in the guide.
