OK. I'm at a lose to come up with a solution. You might try toleda's audio_cloverALC-130.sh Terminal command. Download and unzip. Then, drag and drop into the Terminal window.

Has anyone managed to get the USB Type-C port (red USB 3.1 gen 2port at the back ) working at the correct speeds - my ports are showing up in system report but when I connect my iPad Pro it says speed is 480Mb/sec which is USB 2.0 speeds. Any one help? My USB 3 blue ports are working fine. I am thinking of buying a portable USB type C drive but want to make sure it works on this before doing so.

I have followed your guide and it was extremely helpful to get things up and running on my Hero X. The only issue I seem to be running into is that my USB3 ports don't seem to work at all. I have 2 DROBO devices as well as various USB3 external drives and none of them are found any the system at all. Any idea what would case this and how to get them enabled?
Please let me know. any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Did you replace the MultiBeast Increase 15 port limit config.plist patch with the new by PMHeart as I described in my Post #1, post MultiBeast installation?

That fixed it! That section seems to have been added after I completed my installation.

One other question for you. When the computer sleeps, the fans continually spin all the way down then get really loud, then spin back down. Is this normal? not sure if it is fully sleeping or not but it does wake when I hit the keyboard as expected. Let me know if you have any idea whats up.
Thanks again for all of your help on this build!

I added it after installing 10.13.4. See my Update Notes.

No idea. When Thunderball sleeps, it takes it about 10 seconds, but I don't notice a fan noise increase. Our two systems have different graphics cards, so that might be the difference.

Could be. I have just been shutting the system down rather than letting it sleep out of caution.
I also ended having to use the Universal Voodoo audio to get that working as the Realtek would not work. Other than that everything seems well.

For now, you have to run MultiBeast twice as I described in Post #1. Did you follow those procedures?
