Will this build work? (i5 8400;h370 DH3;1050 windforce)

I'm a mac user for a year. Owning a crappy old mac mini late 2010 model and a crappy windows PC, and planning for upgrade.
The exact specs of the build i'm gonna buy are:

  • for CPU - Intel Core i5 8400
  • for Mobo - GIGABYTE H370M D3H
  • for Graphics - Nvidia GTX 1050 by GIGABYTE (GV-N1050WF2OC-2GD) - graphics card i've already bought
  • for RAM - CRUCIAL Ballistix 2x8 GB kit (BLS2C8G4D240FSB)
The goal is to assemble "most bang for the buck" hackintosh machine mainly for all sorts of graphic works (web design, graphic design, photo retouch, animation, 3d)

For storage i have ADATA SSD and HGST HDD (i had installed them on mac mini, and didn't had any problems)

My questions are:
  1. will this build work?
  2. does anyone have any success with H370 mobos?
  3. does anyone have experience of multi-monitors setup on hackintosh (the model of graphics card i bought has multiple HDMI's and i plan to plug in 2 monitors)?
  4. any advice for multi OS setup (macOS, Win10, Ubuntu)?
  5. any better alternatives to my build for the same price (~$500)

3. yes but only FULL HD @60Hz or 4k@30Hz over HDMI
4. keep each OS on a separate hard drive
5. you can save some bucks going for B250 motherboard with 7th gen i5 CPU

but why do you think Kaby lake i5 with B250 mobo would be a better choice?
Retailers here selling i5 7400 less than $20 cheaper than 8400 and mobos are basically on the same price.
 
based on amazon prices in EU

b250M mobo + i5 7400 - 48 EUR + 154 EUR = 202 EUR
z370 mobo + i5 8400 - 99 EUR + 165 EUR = 264 EUR

which makes it a 30% price difference while provides ?% performance difference.

(2) I recommend using a Z370 motherboard at this moment as it is known to work without significant issues if you want to stick with the i5-8400. H370 is quite new and contains new hardware not present on the Z370 boards, which may cause problems with High Sierra.

hmm, there is no "B" chipset mobos in buyer's guides, so i suppose the installation process could be somewhat painful,
there is still some kaby lake mobos in stock, like H270 or H170, but H270 mobo cost only $10 less than H370,
7400 CPU cost only ~$20 less than 8400,
so kaby lake build comes only $30 cheaper, yet severely falls behind in multithreaded workloads (like 3D rendering, media encoding, file compression, according to Tom's Hardware review article) and the gap in performance would probably widens over time

i'm just afraid to buy a machine that would became obsolete before it would paid off

The reason there is no B150 / B250 chipset motherboards is only because no one here did tests on them. It does not mean they won't work. You can search here to find successful builds based on these motherboards, I am sure. The installation process should be quite similar to H270 and Z270 motherboards.

You may have unexpected problems with a H370 motherboard since it contains new hardware not present on the older Z370 motherboards. I said above that my recommendation is that you should stick to Z370 at this time if you want to go with a Coffee Lake system. However, since some H370 motherboards have been added to the Buyer's Guide, perhaps if you stick to those then it should work out for you.
