How to Update + Current and Past apfs.efi Downloads

Everything worked out for me. I did have a problem with the processor reporting in About This Mac. I posted it over @ macOS 10.13.4 Update Thread #195

It started working this morning. I might have been editing the wrong string or something of the sort. I updated my Clover and it started reading right. So I don't think it had anything to do with the update.

Hey tonymacx86,

Thanks for the clear instructions.

Can you add in a note that users that boot with "legacy BIOS" (e.g., Sandy Bridge and earlier) need to put apfs.efi into /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/drivers64/ , not drivers64UEFI?

This drove me to insanity when trying to upgrade from Sierra.

thanks.

It seems as if we're into a point by point update of apfs.efi in High Sierra.

To find your current apfs.efi:

1. Boot into macOS High Sierra
2. Choose Finder > Go > Go To Folder
3. Navigate to /usr/standalone/i386/
4. Copy apfs.efi to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/

I cannot find /Volumes/ etc. The only thing is in the EFI backups folder. The only thing I can think of is to open up a config file.

I know how to go to the folder, my question is what to do there ? I do not see any instructions after I am in the folder.Do I have to copy or paste something, or just go there for no reason? Also after copying apfs.efi to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ I cannot boot anymore and I am a hackintosh user for 5-6+ years.
I have Samsung 840 evo 120gb.

Thanks.
Kind Regards.

If you don't ask the right question you should not be surprised when you do not receive the desired answer.

If you have a problem you should boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.

I think I am asking the right question. What to do after I open the folder - "/usr/standalone/i386/" ? Just open the folder and do nothing?
Why do we need step 2 and 3? I do not see any point to open that folder and do absolutely nothing.
Can you explain this?

Thank you.
Kind regards.

In step 2 and 3 you are locating the folder which contains the file apfs.efi and in step 4 you copy that file to /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ which is located in the EFI partition.

Does anyone know if a patched apfs.fi for the 10.13.4 Supplemental Update is out yet? Thanks.
