How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I did not test anything because I don't have any TBEX 3 device now.
I just install SSDT I don't change anything in clover config.
I connect end of the THB_C header cable to motherboard header.
Thanks kgp and LeleTuratti hot plug implementation and SSDT.
I test X99 Gaming G1 this board is not in gigabyte support list.

But you can test hot plug with the Alpine Ridge, can't you?

Are you using my TB SSDT implementation from my X299 guide or the one of @LeleTuratti? It would help if you would implement a reference in your recent posts on Tonymacx and InsanelyMac..

For TB hot plug you should remove the THB_C cable..

I do not think it makes a difference, my SSDT are basic the same as your guide :)
The only difference is that they have been adapted for PCI-TB cards with two TB ports like GB card and Asrock card (I added information on DSB4).

I think that what makes the difference is if the PCI-TB card is connected to the CPU lines or to the PCH lines.
Technically now that the THB_C cable is no longer needed, all TB cards (TBEX, Asrock, GB) are compatible on all motherboards with TB support :headbang:

Check my files.
I update kext.
Its like SSDTLeleTuratti V1

I need to know why this part not load?
Thunderbolt: No drivers are loaded.

Can you try the TB part of my X299 SSDT attached below? I now also implemented DSB3 and 4...

Should now also be compatible with 2x TB port adaptors..

Thanks ;)

Hi @kgp
I test your SSDT DSB3 not load.
I connect THB_C header to Motherboard.

Wrong SSDT... V1 and V2 are two experimental SSDT to force the hot plug on TB port 1 on PCI card connected to PCH.
If you have removed the THB_C cable you should be use the SSDT V3.

As far as I know DSB3 is not necessary, in fact on the originals SSDTs of iMac18,3 and iMacPro it is not present.
However it should work well like that too ;)

I test your SSDT DSB3 not load.
I connect THB_C header to Motherboard.

you should not only use the DSB3 part of my SSDT but the entire TB implementation ;)

And you should remove the THB_C cable..
