Yes, I think so. Personally I just setup a X99 build using a Gigabyte GA-X99-UD4 and it runs Sierra and High Sierra.

Note, however, that you will need to modify the Unibeast USB stick for it to be able to boot and install MacOS onto a X99 system. I suggest you read these threads first :
