Fan speed control on High Sierra

Your profile indicates a laptop with i3-4000m.
Your BIOS should adjust the fan automatically based on CPU/heatsink temperatur.
It's there a way to trick the system so it thinks the temperature is higher so the fan run faster or to say that at 40degrees it runs at full speed. Thanks

That falls into the category of reverse engineering your BIOS/ACPI/EC fan controls.

Hi @black.dragon74 , I'm trying to use your SSDT-FAN-MOD, but only thing I can get is fan RPM reading in HWMonitor, which always ranges from 2900 to 3500, shutting off when temperature is below 32°C.
Any help would be very appreciated.

I read every post in this thread and searched half of the Internet but still wasn't able to find a solution. It's a desktop computer, but I'm just hijacking this thread now. Since I upgraded from Yosemite to High Sierra, my GPU got significantly louder for some reason, even when no apps are running. Is there any way I can solve this issue, any suggestion in the right direction is welcome, please?

I have a thread already about this issue and it's opened here.

Off-topic.
This thread/forum is (obviously) for laptops only.

Meanwhile, try this :-

Can I use it for my laptop/system?
SSDT-FAN.aml

Fan control ACPI code is very specific to each laptop model. You cannot expect to use ACPI code meant for a different computer.

How I find ssd.aml for my laptop?
