It runs way smoother than it did on 10.12.
Yes i haven't experienced lag on any version of 10.13 except when installing old drivers (obviously not the same as the well-reported system-crippling issues). 10.13 in general is a noticeable improvement, most likely due to improvements in Metal.

I've found NvidiaGraphicsFixup 1.2.5 works better than 1.2.6. NvidiaGraphicsFixup 1.2.6 often gives me broken graphics like random lines, black triangles, etc., especially for safari. Is it just me?

Likely because opengl rendering path isn't updated anymore and is buggy. but that's work aorund 1.2.6 uses to get around lag for 10x0 users using metal and window server

Opengl is very buggy and you want to use Metal for window server IF it's working for your setup. I think the new fixup has config options to disable the opengl work around to try to use 1.2.6 with metal

I also read several positive reports on hackintosh ****** that the new nvidia drivers fix the lag with metal and pascal cards, so that work around is no longer needed. Although I can't say all other driver bugs are fixed well enough to stop using the 378.x.x.x ones.

If it is feasible maybe a clean install of 10.13.4 using latest drivers + latest NvidiaGraphicsFixup will help.
