At 44 euros, I figured I could take it out of the PCI card and insert it in the M.2 motherboard connector.
But I'm unsure if that's the same connector.

I have this one : native and fully working. ( But on PCi slot connected )

Yes, but I don't want to take a PCIe slot, so if I could fit it in the existing M. 2 slot on the motherboard that is used for the built-in WiFi card, that would be much better.
For some reasons, my broadcom card since yesterday is seen, but I can't pair anything any more, and it doesn't show any BT devices around. I thought it was an antenna issue (I had been using the antenna that came with the Asus Deluxe, but as I returned that board I had to use the two crappy ones that came with the ASRock). But it works just fine in Windows.

Hi Attila,

the def in my installer is iMac Pro 1,1
what you describe was an Issue I had in the very beginning as well. Even though I have an 1080ti and could fix it with the Nvidia GrafixFix.
So I guess you can try to use the Vegafix to get it running.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not know of any VegaFix. Should not need any fix though, as there is now native Vega support.

Hi @eiriasemrys, I've seen that you have a x299 system running with a Titan X Maxwell, I have a friend who is mounting a system with a graphics card like yours but has problems to restart and to shut down the system, in either case, the system seems to restart, the screen is shown in black but the oled meter on the motherboard continues to show the temperature, does not turn off or restart. I wonder if you would be so kind as to advise me on a solution or publish your EFI folder to be able to compare with my friend, thank you very much, regards.

thats why i gave up on my titan x maxwell... i never figured it out, however i didnt spend much time on it either.

You should un-tick the nv_disable=1 and tick the npci-0x2000
You're right they are native. Some people have trouble with connectors, if you're running 2 screens on DP you might only get one screen working, in which case the VegaGraphicsFixup kext should be used.

I had some difficulty with it, it claimed it was out of date. There is a way to get the files in the first place, via Bootcamp on OSX (once you open it you might run into a problem, but it is surmountable), but once I had the files, they didn't resolve my problem -- unless I'm missing something!

Rulebreaker01 & @kgp News: I purchased and installed the GC-Alpine Ridge card, but even with Alpine Ridge active, Thunderbolt PCIe Cache-line Size set to 128, and the latest Intel Thunderbolt driver, I continue hearing "crackling" and it makes my computer skip! whenever the Universal Audio Arrow tries processing sound. The crackling becomes worse when I raise it to 192 kHz from 44.1 kHz, so there is some communication. What might be throttling it? I moved the card to the fourth slot but the problem is the same. Disappointing. I'll keep reviewing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You must attache the adapter first, then the MacBook Air wifi card. REMINDER: It did not fit under the plastic shield and I had to Dremel out a big slot in the shield to make it fit. The shield/hood has LEDs going through it and I had to be very careful not to cut the wires Mine literally sticks out of that hood like a high rise blower on a hot rod, just not quite as sexy.

I also had to hack up the steel housing the intel card came in to fit the adapter. It is no longer a fully enclosed metal casing. I don't know if it works but this might be a better possibility:

Closed case CPU temps and a 7 day history of core 1 which seems to run the hottest. First temp is motherboard, last temp is the SSD.

This is an i9-7980xe, Designare EX X299 motherboard and Samsung 960 Pro 2TB NVMe hard disk. Case is Lian-Li PC-10NB modified to mount a Corsair H100i V2 radiator in the front (had to remove all the internal drive cages which required the removal of rivets with a drill.

None of those links work for me.
All I care about is if the broadcom card use a M.2 connector.
