Here is where I am at now.
Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.
It probably says "Still waiting for root device" in the bottom left corner.

I pressed the space bar at the Clover boot screen and selected verbose mode.

That last message is about apfs, but you have made a HFS+ install...
My advice is to connect the Samsung SSD to your Mac, install the operating system, do NOT install Clover or Multibeast, see if your Mac boots from the SSD.
Then connect the SSD to the PC and try to boot from it with the usb stick. If it works, you can install Clover on the SSD and just copy the Clover folder from USB/EFI/ to SSD/EFI. If not, tweak your USB until it successfully boots your installation.
Your USB must have FakeSMC.kext in CLOVER/kexts/Other, apfs.efi & OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi in CLOVER/drivers64UEFI
You can use this version of Clover https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/clover-uefi-boot-mode-v2-4k-r4428.376/

I can get my Mac to boot from the SSD. However, it is formatted as GUID Partition Scheme and my internal MAC SSD is APFS Container Scheme. Should I format the builds SSD as APFS as well?

I am working on building a USB that will successfully boot the installation. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for the help @bogdanw.

Yes, your Samsung SSD should be exactly like your internal Mac SSD: GUID Partition Scheme and APFS Container Scheme.
For the USB, I suggest a clean start as well. Mount EFI, delete the EFI folder, unmount EFI, install the Clover version mentioned in the previous post and add FakeSMC https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/fakesmc.358/
You can edit the config.plist file in EFI/Clover and add the boot argument -v for verbose mode.
Code:
<key>Boot</key>
    <dict>
        <key>Arguments</key>
        <string>-v dart=0</string>

Following what bogdanw suggested I formatted my Samsung SSD to be exactly like my MAC SSD and created a new USB this is how far I got. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have also been reading through Stork's MyHero II Build: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z370 HERO X - i7-8700K and have not been able to successfully build off those steps.

This is the screenshot from booting from the USB based off of @Stork's build.

Hi, I see that you are still having fun with getting your first hack done.:banghead: Well, since your mobo is having trouble detecting your sata drives (Your Sata drives still don't show up on disk utility right?), I'd try installing NVMe SSD instead of sata. Also, I came across couple of successful build with same mobo that they all seemed have used NVMe SSD.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give that a go. Local does not have the Samsung 960 Pro 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXS4TYB/?tag=tonymacx86com-20 like @Stork's build. I don't understand why it won't see the Sata SSD.

I can't make out what those verbose screens are saying. All the texts look pixelated.

Where do you stand right now? Are you able to boot in to the SSD where you have installed macOS? I saw one of the screenshots where you have "Macintosh SSD" in an APFS partition. Is macOS on there? Are you able to boot in to it? Did you try putting a working EFI folder on to that drive?

I am not able to boot to my SSD from the build, but I can from my MAC. I am able to see the SSD when I boot into Clover and I am able to select the SSD. I have placed working EFI folders onto the USB drive and still have not had any success. I have formatted the SSD as an APFS and as a MAC OS Extended Journal both with GUID Partition mapped. I have installed the operating system on both formats via my MAC and am able to boot from the SSD on my MAC. I have created multiple different USB combinations and I feel like I am just on the edge of getting this to work. But that I am missing a few key things. I took a look at Storks build and he has a different SSD. I have considered that the SATA may not be the best fit for this build and that the NVMe SSD is. I'll keep updating and trying any suggestions as I am dedicated to getting this Hackintosh up and running.
