Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H
too old, couldn't find it on amazon.de/com or newegg. It's a mainboard with LGA1150 and no possibility for OC. Sound works with ALC892.

Originally I was on Yosemite with the same setup except I had a GTX770 2GB which was killed by my cat with a water glass that was knocked over and found its way to my GPU. This is no joke. She was thirsty I guess. I had luck that nothing else of my system died. I have an opening in my desk for cables and it went through this slot. Bad luck and a new opportunity! I wanted to get to the latest release and this is what I've done. It was way easier than the days with Chimera and it is very stable with everything working except Continuity because I don't have the broadcom card.
I wanted a GPU that is ready for the "future". Currently I am running an 25" 21:9 2560x1080 (DP) screen with another 40" Full HD Screen connected (HDMI). In the future I want to upgrade them for 2x 4K screens.
I originally wanted to buy a NVIDIA GPU and therefore I tested a 980Ti, a 1070Ti and a 1070. The sad truth is, the benchmark was always good, but system was "laggy" and the performance in games (League of Legends and Shadow of Mordor) was just too bad. So I bought a RX580 and it was smooth. Apparently the performance wasn't enough for me, so I finally decided to buy a Vega 56 from ASUS. This is what I ended up and it runs smooth and with its full power. First I wanted to buy a SAPPHIRE Nitro+ LE Vega 56, but the 3x8Pins with a recommended power supply of 750watt was way too much for me, because I would need to upgrade my power supply.
In the future I plan to change my case to the Fractal Design Define R6 and upgrade my CPU, Mainboard and RAM. Because my CPU isn't working on the new mainboards and DDR4 is required I didn't update the other parts yet.
BIOS
Update to latest BIOS vision. In BIOS setting select:
Loaded Optimized defaults and set following things:
xHCI mode = auto
xHCI Hand Off = enabled
EHCI Hand Off = enabled
X.M.P. memory profile = profile1
Vt-D disabled
iGPU disabled

I installed everything with Unibeast and High Sierra 10.13.4 with AFPS. No trim enabled.

*The GA-H87-D3H has native NVRAM support therefore no additionally choice is necessary here. If you want to test if your system supports NVRAM natively check this out: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/native-nvram-available.192920/
** if you dont need 3 Port Audio you can remove these from your installation. HDMI & DP audio works out of the box with 10.13.4 with my Vega 56.
*** If you want to monitor your GPU, CPU etc you should install the FakeSMC plugins and HWMonitor or iStat.

Kexts
I placed the following kexts in EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other place on the EFI Partition. Make sure to have Inject Kexts enabled in by Clover Configurator in your config.plist. I have SIP disabled.
