Hello,

I've installed Unibeast 8.2 in a USB drive. Found out later that I needed to do the workaround. Unfortunately, I won't have access to a MacOS for quite some time, and I only have a Linux OS available at the moment. I'm not very experienced with Linux, and I'm not being able to delete the necessary files, because it says the USB is read-only, and thus I can't write/delete files in it. Not having a lot of luck following Google tutorials.

So I have some questions:

1. Can I do the workaround from a Linux machine?

2. If yes, how would I go about doing it? As I said, I'm not very experienced with the Linux OS, and I'm a bit afraid to ruin my USB. If anyone out there knows what I should do, I would appreciate the help a lot.

3. A bit unrelated: I currently have Mint installed on the SSD I want to install macOS on. Will the unibeast installer format it and install macOS for me, or do I need to format the SSD before going to the installer? If I need to format before, what is the recommended type (fat32, ext4, ...)?

I have Linux Mint.

Help please ;-;

Yes it is possible to do the workaround in Linux.
Could you link me to a page/explain a bit on how to do such? The pages I've found are about fixing a corrupted USB drive (not the case).

Running sudo rm "/media/username/Install macOS High Sierra/.IAPhysicalMedia" outputs
rm: cannot remove '/media/username/Install macOS High Sierra/.IAPhysicalMedia': Read-only file system.

That's a Linux issue and should be researched on a site for your Linux distribution.
But isn't this issue too specific because the USB was created with Unibeast (and that makes it read-only for some reason)?

Posted the question on a Mint forum as well but nobody answered.

Please I've been in this for so long.
