Yes from when I installed High Siera on my MAC to the SSD. However, the Disk utility still did not see it from the USB install.

If you installed macOS on to your SSD from your Mac, you don't need to install it again. You can boot in to it using your USB flash drive.

  1. Boot your hackintosh from your USB flash drive.
  2. At the Clover boot menu, select the SSD with macOS already installed. Do not select the installer.
  3. Once you get in to macOS, you can installer Clover on your SSD.
 
I just tried booting from the USB and thought maybe I would have some success when I say that the BIOS showed me these options.

When I attempt to boot from the SSD I am brought back to the BIOS.

Run the full install? Not the quick 4 min. But the restart your computer and go through the setup install?
 
Can you post an image of diskutil list run from your Mac with the SSD attached?
