[solved] Asus Vivobook Pro 17 N705U - Installer stuck at boot

Asus user here, I use N55SL Batt patch pattern with Maciasl, FN Keys, And 4 Backlight key, and LCD Backlight patch as star central UX430UN suggest.
for pad I think we need learn voodooi2c patching, and gpio...
what sound card do you have?
 
The sound card is ALC3251.

Try googling ACL3251 if using AppleHDA patcher, or use VoodooHDA from RehabMan.
I have connexant but don't know what connexant it model CX???? is

I have gpio pinning and made my touchpad works.
what your touchpad?
1. check id on i2c hid control panel.
2. use windows 10 patch maciasl from http://raw.github.com/alexandred/VoodooI2C-Patches/master
3. check ioreg, on that elan acpi id
4. patch controller&pinning via maciasl
5. install modified dsdt to acpi clover.
6. put voodoo2ic.kext on the desktop and use kextbeast
7. put voodoo2ichid.kext on clover other extra kext
I believe the newer Asus use elan1200 / 1300. I use preconfigured voodoo2ic elan1300.
 
Yes the touchpad is an elan1300.

I saw your dsdt.old in previous post
here i patch
1. zero error with zeroparse aggressive pattern patch
2. bnum error name with erased
3. patch acpi battery with Asus n55sl pattern patch
4. fn key
5. windows 10 patch for Darwin voodooi2c
6. gpio patch voodoo2ic
7. pinnin 6d to 55 voodooi2c

[use gfx0 to igpu in config.plist]
[use ssdt spoof for igpu nvidia]


not patched
1. brightness fn
2. brightness acpi

I gave the patched modified dsl for reading
dsdt.aml patched to be inserted in clover patched acpi

This is what I did :

- copied dsdt.aml (patched) to EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\PATCHED
- installed VoodooI2C.kext and VoodooI2CELAN.kext

WORKING

- Battery status

NOT WORKING

- fn keys
- touchpad


Maybe I'm missing something?

get the latest Voodooi2c here https://github.com/alexandred/VoodooI2C/releases
you will need Voodooi2c.kext and one off it satellite Voodooi2chid.kext or Voodooi2celan.kext.
The developer suggesting Voodooi2c.kext on /S/L/E but you can put it on the Clover other kext.
Voodooi2celan.kext is supporting previous Elan up to 1100.
1200 or later you need Voodooi2chid.kext
So Voodooi2chid.kext and Voodooi2chid.kext on the other kext clover.
it should be worked.

I dont know about fn keys. i am too busy to look at now. since i had into office on sat and sunday.
for sound you can use voodoohda first.
get the kext from https://sourceforge.net/projects/voodoohda/
