Hello,

On my z170x Gaming 5 / RX580 / 3,41 GHz Intel Core i7, I get this error when I'm trying to export in H264. I'm on High Sierra 10.13.4

I'm pretty sure it's to Quick Sync, but I have no idea how to correct it!

My CG is connected with one displayport, to only one screen for the moment. Everything else, including USB, is working fine !

I'm using Shiki.kext, Lilu.kext and whatevergreen.kext.

May I ask how did you change to 19,1? I don't seem to have the option

iMac19,1 Board-ID does not covered by AppleGVA therefore FCPX share as H264 work, but H264 and HEVC GVA decoder will not work, no HW acceleration, use any SMBIOS Board-ID not covered by AppleGVA should get same result, like MacPro5,1.

Issue should caused by H264 encoder (part of IOGVACodec) incompatible with some apps, temporary workaround is use a dummy kext to disable IOGVACodec but keep H264/HEVC decoder and HEVC encoder support functional.

and that will enable hardware encoding of h264 ?
I read that enabling teh iGPU will enable hardware encoding. (not tested)

No, just opposite, I use dummy kext to disable AMD H264 encoder, decoder function remain on, HEVC encoder/decoder still on.
When IOGVACodec is enabled, AMD H264 encoder will be on but recently incompatible with FCPX.

Yes, provided by IQSV, enable IQSV will auto disable AMD GVA H264/HEVC support.
