You're brave...
Would have never damaged my motherboard like that. Hopefully you wont come to regret it
LOL, it's just a plastic cover. I can remove it and the motherboard will work fine. I just hope it still lights up like it's supposed to. I really like using the apple wifi cards. Hate to waste the M.2 slot.

ASUS TUF X299 Mark 1 - i9-7920X 12 Cores - NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI.

I tried a lot but never succeed, can you please give me your EFI folder? (without any privet info like SN) I need the kexts and the SSDT settings, I think your settings will work good on my PC.

Regards[/QUOTE]

I have little hope for you it will work - I had the same board and sold it after so many tries installing OSX according to this guide. Now I am running the Asus Prime deluxe X299 without any flaws ...

Haven't had that issue with the set of kexts I attached.
The issue with that set (which is the latest and greatest) is that the GPU temp reports really high sometimes, even though the GPU is fine. I reverted back to another set I'll attach at the end of this post :)
You might not have a temp reporting issue with the first set I attached if you don't have a Vega though.

But here you have all the *Sensors.kext ...

yeah, but losing my warranty over a wifi card, when there are other choices available no thanks...

would have just removed the cover rather than drill into it. it's just cosmetic

Back a few posts.
The first set I attached is the latest from the latest HWSensors package. It has all the sensor kexts inside the FakeSMC in plugins. The second set I attached a few posts later had no sensor kexts inside FakeSMC, they were outside 0 in the others folder. Along with my general kexts which can be deleted if you wish. Those are the ones I reverted back to after my GPU temp readings became false with the newer set.

I found them, thanks, worked like a charm!

Could anyone send me their OC bios settings for the x299 Deluxe? Cant get stable OC yet. Thanks!

I removed it to work on it. I would never do anything like this while attached to the motherboard. If warranty work is needed, I'll buy a new cover before sending it back.

I am new to this and am little confused how to patch the BIOS firmware before even installing MacOS.. am I able to live boot off USB and run terminal from that or do you suggest I run a Windows install first and do it from there? Thanks for your writeup.
