I had sleep / Kernel panic with GPU sensor kext. The other acpi / CPU sensor kext is fine so I only removed GPU sensor kext.

Thanks for your reply!!

I never had the GPU sensor as it didn't work.
And in the attempt to fix the issue I took all the other sensor kexts out
BUT I'm still unable to have sleep working.
It's the process of going into sleep the issue as at some point leads to reboot. And it's so slow at getting into sleep.
If I remove Thunderbolt then it's consistent.
I'm not sure how to fix this. I checked Bios, Thunderbolt config.
Would you be or anyone else able to help me on this?

No Thunderbolt Card = Sleep works
Yes Thunderbolt Card = first Sleep work
Then from the 2nd it's a lottery that leads to kernel and reboot

ASUS Thunderbolt 3 Card:

- 1st sleep work
- From 2nd sleep kernel panic
- if USB plugged in after 1st sleep it gets disconnected.

Everyone with this card and ASUS Prime X299 lives the same issues?

I have struggled to successfully installed the macOS.

However, when I use AppStore to update from D2047, the version stays at D2047. The AppStore keeps telling to update, but after I installed the update and reboot. It still at D2047.

Can someone help me?

Did anybody here manage to use Xcode on an 8-core hackintosh and are you able to upload to itunesconnect through x-code? I don't need the 8 cores for x-code, but for RAW video editing in windows. But I would like to install osx too because i need xcode and want to go with one build.

And i would like to go a little cheaper than most of you with just a 7820X and an AORUS X299 Gaming 7
I know most of you go with Gaming 9 and XEONs... so if you work with Xcode (with all its features), could you tell me which motherboard and processor you are using.
THANX!

not 8 cores... but yes.
You mean you got GA-X299 DESIGNARE + i9-7980XE to work with Xcode?
Or another... 4 core build?

Hi @kgp or any other ACPI experts in this thread. First of all KGP- i have been a long time admirer of your guides, really outstanding and thorough work, and easy to follow and learn as you go.

I have after much trying and testing been able to implement the SSDT functions for my hardware (X299 Designare and some PCIe cards) pretty well. The only, very cosmetic issue i seem to be having is that often the APPL,slot-name i assign is ignored. In this case under PCI in system profiler it shows "PCI Slot X" where X is usually "0" but sometimes something else (like "9") wondering why this happens and if there is a fix? it seems whenever slot is assigned "built-in" that works but most of my "Slot-X" assignments are ignored and replaced by the aforementioned "PCI Slot X".

Thanks!

Do you complete the update at all? Once the PC restarts you have to boot once the "Install MacOS partition" instead of your "MacOS partition"...
