Well... sorry I do not have one apple keyboard and on the "Apple Menu" I have only : Logout, stop, restart, shutdown and lock-screen, no mention of "sleep".... What do You want me to trie?

Now that is super weird... Well no sleep issue for you then :)
You must have missed some steps in the guide however :)

I think I found what my problems were. I suspect my USB hub from NZXT, I think it gets 12 v from Molex when needs 5V power.

Hi, I do use X299 Designare like you, I use Your EFI, BUT I do not see any mention of Thunderbolt in the PCI section,.... Could you please post one screenshot of how it should look like?
Rasons that I do not see anything? Solution suggestions?

Yes, you need the SSDT that I posted earlier for that and do the acpi replacement.

I'll post my efi folder later

What problem did you have with the NZXT since I also have it in my system.

I confirm my Thunderbolt card is responsible for the sleep issues that lead to reboot.
Anyone can help in troubleshooting it?
It's installed int he same slot 3 as per the guide.

UPDATE:
I discovered there was one setting the Thunderbolt Card that was different from what's suggested:

Delay before SX Exit 300

I had it at 200
Now I still experience the issue. The issue manifests when I LET the PC go into sleep on its own, process that requires a hiuge amount of time (5 min).
When I click on Sleep the PC goes to sleep within 30 sec and gives no errors.
I deleted HWMonitor and not using sensors at this point to minimize chances for unwanted behavior.

It burned two motherboards and 3 USB sticks.
  • first MB - lost RGB lights, no USB recognized, not able to boot from USB.
  • second - lost RGB lights, not able to boot from USB
  • USBs that were plugged in when I had NZXT connected to the system not recognizable
Can you explain how you connected your NZXT USB hub? Especially the power cable connection. I had it connected to Molex that comes directly from PSU.

NZXT hub, I just barely used, it came yesterday as I'm trying to solve an issue where the WiFi and Bluetooth adapter only allows the PC to sleep when the USB port in the PCIe card is connected directly to the motherboard USB2 header. Otherwise the machine does instant wake.

So I thought by plugging in NZXT hub to the USB2 header on the motherboard and plugging into the hub both the USB2 case ports and the USB2 cable coming from the WiFi and bluetooth PCIe card would solve my problem.
But instead it doesn't as I surely get the case USB2 ports to work but the WiFi+bluetooth card still does instant wake.

I initially connected the NZXT hub to the molex from my Corsair Power Supply but then I tested without and there's no difference.
BUT LUCKILY I DIDN'T burn the motherboard!!!

I just read your guide, awesome work. I have the Asus Prime A X299 Not the Deluxe.

I have already a full working vanilla hacintosh with High sierra i7,

I’m thinking of moving my hard drive from the old i7 computer to the new x299 i9.

Question:

With just updating the bios and changing the EFI on the drive will do the trick? or do I need to do the full installation from scrash?

Does anyone know if there is some type of fuse or something else that can reset motherboard. My RGB doesn't work and I wonder if it is completely gone or there is a way to turn it back. I am asking because I was able to install windows 10 without any problems, where MacOS is not going further then "only 204/256 slide values are available for usage! Booting may fail!"
I know you can reset it clear CMOS button, but it doesn't solve my issue.

I had sleep / Kernel panic with GPU sensor kext. The other acpi / CPU sensor kext is fine so I only removed GPU sensor kext.
