What do you think is the purpose of this guide ?
make iMessage can login on hackintosh? I mean does this need AppleID activated first on a real mac/iphone ?

No, but you will need a valid AppleID in order to use any Apple services.

Hi P1LGRIM

I have a problem activating iMessage... got this error:
An error occurred during activation. Try again.

I use and old @me.com account and I realize that iMessage does not be activated on my iPhone as well whit that account. So I restore the iPhone as a new one and create a new Apple ID and iMessage was activated successful whit the new Apple ID.
But I can't activate on the hack...
I read all guides
iMessageDebug appears to be fine.
I change the serial number and everything as you mentioned but no joy...

Any advice ?
thanks you

Just wanted to share my success story here.

I had iMessage working fine, which I'd enabled via some other method years ago, but I just got an iPhone and wanted to use the continuity features with my hackintosh. Purchased one of these and installed it, which made airdrop work but continuity wasn't working at all.

I followed this guide and like magic everything started to work wonderfully. Universal clipboard, handoff, all is working. Thanks a lot!

Actually this is less of a guide and more of an explanation of the procedures that I use in my own builds in order to enable access to the App Store, iMessage and FaceTime. Do not be offended by the term 'iDiot', it is not intended as an insult but more my attempt at a humorous play on words in the vein of AppleSpeak (iPod, iMac, iPhone etc).

It is acknowledged that it will not work in all cases but should hopefully assist many people if only by giving an understanding of the processes involved to enable iMessage.

thank you very much,
this works great on my second customac install, I just did this weekend.
good explanation.

Thanks - Good to know that it is still working

I tried this yesterday and after signing back in iMessage worked but no FaceTime. After restart none of them worked. Ill try it out again soon.

Didn't work for me. Is it cause of my iPhone maybe? Since iMessage & FaceTime is activated there. Should I also remove my phone from iCloud.com? And when it says activate iMessage, should I first activate iCloud and then iMessage or go straight to iMessage and try to login?

The guide details how I activate Apple services on my builds, it works for me.
If it does not work for you then I cannot help as your problem is outside the bounds of my experience.

In fact, if I run imessage_debug ROM and MLB gives 'failed' result.
The usual cause of this is a lack of native support for NVRAM - It is covered in the guide.
