Hallo everybody.
Last week I've bought myself a new rig.
Asus WS C422 motherboard (https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/WS-C422-PRO-SE/)
64GB 2666 Mhz DDR4 ECC Ram (16384 Mb x 4)
Intel Xeon W-2175 (https://ark.intel.com/products/130046/Intel-Xeon-W-2175-Processor-19_25M-Cache-2_50-GHz)
My goal is to build my own iMac Pro with hardware as near as the original as possible. I have now put up my rig with an old Zalman water cooler, RX Vega 64 Liquid graphics card, GC-gigabyte Alpine Ridge thunderbolt 3 card and two M.2 1 TB Samsung 950 Evo Pro.
I've followed KGP:s very impressive guide with Skylake X299 on this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...c-pro-successful-build-extended-guide.229353/ just to get some basic information. My problem is that I can't even boot up and install HighSierra with my attached clover configuration. I've tried booting with all different combinations of OsxAptioFix-drivers including Test2-2016.efi and the new AptioMemoryFix without success.
MSR 0xE2 register is unlocked as it should be on my ASUS mobo.
I can't find any "hackintosh related" information or guides with similar hardware setup so for the moment i'm just stuck.

Is there anybody out there how could help me out with this problem?
Regards
Obus

Thank's for your answer but I've already tried that and get this error:IMG_0476 copy.jpg

You are not alone. I am having the exact same issue (the boot screen stops at exactly same place as yours) on my C422 motherboard, the GIGABYTE MW51-HP0 board (http://b2b.gigabyte.com/Server-Motherboard/MW51-HP0-rev-10). I also have a Xeon W-2175 CPU. I am stumped and I don't know what else I can do.

@zmanfx, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard, CPU and Graphics Card.
If you have a prebuilt computer enter make and model instead of motherboard (Mobo).

Hi @zmanfx!
Take a look at my thread here:
https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/f...-on-xeon-w-2175-and-asus-ws-c422-mobo/?page=6

You need FakeCPUID 0x0506E4, clover patch: xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. Alpha and TSCAdjustReset.kext in your clover /kext/other-map.

Attached kext is adjust for 14 cores so it will work with your processor OOB.
I attach my config.plist too.

Cheers

Awesome. I was finally able to get macOS installed. I am still having issues getting the onboard audio devices to work, but I hope to figure that out in the coming days. Thanks obus!

Hi @zmanfx
I'm trying with exactly the same GIGABYTE MW51-HP0 board but can't even get the usb to boot . . .
What settings did you use in your bios?

GIGABYTE MW51-HP0 board
Xeon W-2155 256GB Ram
NVIDIA Quadro P6000

Hi @esokos,

I was able to get it working with the config.plist and TSCResetAdjust.kext that obus posted above. I will attach a zip of my working EFI folder.

The settings I changed in the BIOS:
- Disabled both Super IO serial ports
- You can leave VT-d on as long as you drop DMAR ACPI table
- Disabled secure boot and CSM

I also got audio working on this board with the AppleALC and Lilu kexts.

(Also, I have your same CPU, not the W-2175 but the W-2155, I guess I was confused...)

Two issues that I still have with my system:
- I have noticed some odd UI stuttering on my system and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that the TSCAdjustReset is adjusted for 14 cores, not 10 as the W-2155 has.
- I cannot get DRM video files to play in iTunes, and Netflix in Safari does not seem to work without installing Silverlight (which should be able to work without a plug-in).

That being said, with this you should be able to at least get the USB to boot and install. Best of luck.
