Try this after renaming config-6.plist-> config.plist

Thank you very much cmn699 for responding so quickly. I did what you asked me and it does not solve the problem. It is restarting again despite this.

Here is my bootlog for information

Best regards

  • Two areas to look for problems for the symptoms you are describing are:
    • BIOS Settings like Wake On Lan: Enabled -> Disabled and Erp : Disabled ->ENABLED [I have no experience with AsRock MoBo to be more specific if such terminology for BIOS options exists in that MoBo. I am more familiar with Gigabyte Boards]
    • config.plist>ACPI.
      • I have previously edited the most common options.
      • I have uploaded an image of ACPI with arrows pointing to [√] you can try one after the other testing after each selection.

Thanks CMN699. In UEFI my menu for z97 extreme 6,

I have the Advanced/ACPI configuration/Wake From Onboard LAN 1 « Disabled »
I have the Advanced/Chipset Configuration/Deep Sleep Enabled in S4-S5

(I saw this in web.... the ERP setting is well hidden on ASRock boards.
It is in Advanced -> South Bridge Configuration -> Deep Sleep.
To enable ErP set it from "Disabled" to "Enabled in S4-S5" or "Enabled in S5".)

I don’t have any ERP settnigs. I tried all combinations for ACPI (config.plist) fix FIXS3D and SlpSmiAtWake and noting hapend.

I can not shutdown as I wish.

Best Regards

Please upload the last config.plist you have used from the System disk. Let me check it again.

Thanks again CMN699.

As you can see, I changed my last message in this post. The ERP seems under the option Deep Sleep (I tried what I found on this subject in the web, and curiously .... it seems contradictory to the fact that we must put the Deep sleep to disable)

The deep sleep can be:
- "Disabled"
- "Enabled in S4-S5"
- "Enabled in S5"

If both those BIOS options in Gigabyte or its equivalent in your Board's BIOS are set, the only options we really need to set first are in ACPI > [√] FixShutdown and [√]FixHeaders

If after using the above setup and multiple Shut Down it shuts down completely without reboot >no more changes.

If still a problem, further ACPI [√] as I had posted.

DO NOT use all the [√] up front .
Start with the most essential 2 ACPI √ and use additional ones ONLY if needed.
More fixes can cause more problems!

Hi CMN699. Thanks again.

I am very methodical because I am a programmer. Here is what I did

STEP 1- Put the following flags as follows:

[√] FixShutdown
[ ] FixHeaders
[ ] FixMutex
[ ] FixS3D
[ ] SlpSmiAtWake
-> Restart and after try to shutdown
-> Result: Not Working as wish

STEP 2
- Put the following flags as follows:

[√] FixShutdown
[√] FixHeaders
[ ] FixMutex
[ ] FixS3D
[ ] SlpSmiAtWake
-> Restart and after try to shutdown
-> Result: Not Working as wish

STEP 3- Put the following flags as follows:

[√] FixShutdown
[√] FixHeaders
[√] FixMutex
[ ] FixS3D
[ ] SlpSmiAtWake
-> Restart and after try to shutdown
-> Result: Not Working as wish

STEP 4- Put the following flags as follows:

[√] FixShutdown
[√] FixHeaders
[√] FixMutex
[√] FixS3D
[ ] SlpSmiAtWake
-> Restart and after try to shutdown
-> Result: Not Working as wish

STEP 5- Put the following flags as follows:

[√] FixShutdown
[√] FixHeaders
[√] FixMutex
[√] FixS3D
[√] SlpSmiAtWake
-> Restart and after try to shutdown
-> Result: Not Working as wish

This is my config.plist

Best regards

Thanks CMN699.

I was really skeptical that my hackintosh could work as I wanted.

BUT IT WORKS. It Shutdown.

YES. YES. YES. :headbang::headbang::headbang:

I continued my test and I had the idea to remove the check on FixShutDown. And there it works.

Summary:

In UEFI my menu for z97 extreme 6
Advanced/ACPI configuration/Wake From Onboard LAN 1 « Disabled »
Advanced/Chipset Configuration/Deep Sleep Enabled in S4-S5

This is the screen shut of all my major spot in config.plist
