I can't say for sure regarding the memory leak but 161 was very laggy for me. It's what brought me to this thread to find a fix..

It's livable for what I use mine for. It's nice not to have WindowsServer consuming GBs of memory after a couple of hours of usage.

I had some strange artifacts when I had v158. Installing v161 seem to fixed that. Haven't noticed any lag yet. What was weird when i installed v161, was my resolution was stuck in low res. Fixed that by unplugging and replugging my HDMI.

edit:
Artifacts still present in search bar

Misleading information. Actually these are not released just now, but are available already for a while and are made for specific macOS versions.

Wow, one day difference and you guys get in a pissin' contest over it? Really?...

what does WindowServer memory usage show in Activity console ?

with 378.10.10.10.25.106 my machine has been up for 2 days and WindowServer is at 258mb. definitely not fixed if your's is drifting up... weird that this has not been addressed by Nvidia yet.

Seems that latest Nvidia web drivers does not work for some reasons, I'm stuck on black screen. I'm unable to use 10.13.3 (17D102) drivers (macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra (17D102)) on my machine. The only way to get drivers to work is to use older drivers for which is used webdriver.sh.

See more here:
I had the same problem when updating from .104 to .159.
Try booting in Single User mode and touch /S/L/E and /L/E.
Also try disabling SIP when booting. That should fix it.
