pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Try downgrading to the .104 web drivers. The last two versions of the Nvidia web drivers are known to be laggy for many systems.
two questions do you know were I can find the down gradable drivers? and also do you know if it worked for others. cause if not I will just deal with the slight lag I mean it is what is is ... for the most part everything works .

also when I installed I only used multibeast and unibeast .. so when I just recently tried to use clover confiuratior to get rid of some of the partitons that come up when I boot it didnt seem to work .. would that be because I didn't use it when I was installing the os? I dont know it just doesn't work for me.

If you do a search, you will find complaints about "the lag" all over the place and the solution for all of them is to downgrade to .104.

You can use Vulgo's tool to install whichever driver you want.

No. It doesn't matter if you use UniBeast, MultiBeast, or Clover installer. Do a search on how to hide partitions in Clover. You must have made mistakes and it didn't work.

I just pulled my video card and re-tested the EFI for Intel UHD630 in post #1 and I had no problems booting in to my USB flash drive with High Sierra installer. Something has to be wrong on your end.

Also, I checked the BIOS settings and you were right, the directions on post #1 read:
Advanced/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled

It should have been:
Advanced/CPU Configuration/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled

I have made the correction.
Yash! I've come to the installer but no drive to see. Do you how to fix that?

After you launch Disk Utility, click View on the menu bar and select Show All Devices.

Wow! I downgraded to 104 so much better. Thanks .. now I need to figure out my issue with Clover config cause it really isn't working for me.

Man! You really are heaven sent. This really helped me allot! Thanks a million.

Yes. I suspect it has something to do with BIOS as well.
Elsewhere Stork reports: "I do not recommend High Sierra as 10.13.3 broke wake-up from sleep, forcing a reboot if the computer sleeps. Additionally, reports of 10.13.4 Betas fixes for the wake-up and support for the AMD RX and Vega graphics cards. So, be advised that HS is still not ready for prime time."

Maybe that's my problem with my iTX.

I think every motherboard is a little different when it comes to sleep/wake. For example, on my previous build, the Maximus VIII Gene, I had to fiddle with the darkwake setting several times after macOS updates and once after a Clover update. So far, on this build, I haven't had to do any of that and sleep/wake has been working great since day one.

There's a well known bug in 10.13.3 that causes the fan on Vega graphics cards to run at full speed. There has been multiple reports that Apple has fixed this in 10.13.4.

@DOCBJR I'm on 10.13.3 with the latest supplemental update and my sleep/wake works fine (thanks to @pastrychef who spent some time with me debugging the issue). I've found that 'Wake for network access' in the Power Saving menu fixed some last remaining issues around wifi performance for me, but @pastrychef reported he doesn't see these issues and also he doesn't have any sleep/wake issues as well.

@pastrychef What maker/model of Vega 56 have you ordered and when are you going to post your results and settings? I can't wait, because while fast, my system does lag on all these weird ways and I'd like to know should I order AMD card and get rid of my 980ti.
My 10.13.3 on my Strix (the same board that pastry chef uses) sleeps fine.
My troubles are with my iTX. Until today I could not get it to sleep and then wake up without freezing. I tried your idea of turning on "wake for network access" and things are getting better. If I put the computer to sleep, it goes to sleep and I can wake it. However, it will not go to sleep on its own.

ANY ideas??

Use the following command to see what's preventing sleep:
Code:
pmset -g assertions
