Are the touchpad gestures working?
Gestures works, but some gestures need to change settings at Settings > Keyboard.
Especially the gestures need to use at least 3 fingers.

Hello.

Thank you for the guide. Almost everything is fine.
I notice that my jack audio is not working and I'm having the same problem that @mark-san had on HDMI on post #18.

And my trackpad gestures are not working. Just the normal click and tap and tap with 2 fingers to open the context menu.

Can someone help me?

Sorry about my english. It's a little rusty. :(
I'm from Brazil.

Thank you.

Please follow this post to generate "Problem Reporting" files.
For HDMI screen issue, I guess you didn't patch the modified EDID.
But I still need a PR files, I can't help you without it.

For trackpad gestures, you have to change settings at Settings > keyboard.
Because PS/2 trackpad using a different definition of hotkey.

For instance, we usually using 3 fingers gesture to switch full screen apps.
But the default keyboard hotkey is not match to the trackpad command.

To do this, you can find the setting, and do the gesture again to set a new config.
Note that it also change the hotkey on the keyboard.

You're using 0x59160000 as ig-platform-id but using the patch for 0x591b0000
That's why ur HDMI got freeze issue.

Also your 0x591b0000 patch is wrong.

Please edit your patch like picture below, and change ig-platform-id to 0x591b0000.

Still without luck :(

I tried even change the config.plist with one that you gave at post #7, but didn't worked.

I'm uploading again my PR... With my recent changes.
Missing just this for my hackintosh get 99% perfect. Will be 100% when I change my wifi module.

Your PR file is incomplete.
Missing CLOVER files, please re-generate one.

Also did you generate your own EDID file?
I suggest that DO NOT use my EDID file because DELL may use different model display for different country.

Please follow this page (#13) to generate ur own EDID.

FixEDID will generate one folder and one kext. So you have 3 options:
  1. Follow the link to modify Display file and put with folder together into /S/L/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides.
  2. (Recommend) Follow the page to modify EDID code, then put the code into Graphics/EDID/Custom (data class), and set Graphics/EDID/Inject=true (boolean class).
  3. Modify DisplayMergeNub.kext :
    • Open DisplayMergeNub.kext/Contents/info.plist
    • Find IOKitPersonalities/Monitor Apple ID Injection/IOProviderMergeProperties/IODisplayEDID to modify EDID code.
    • Save, and install DisplayMergeNub.kext into /L/E

Also, putting patched EDID code into config.plist is workless. (Idk why.)
