Hello dear Community!

I have a Hackintosh with the following specs:

Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Pro3
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790
GPU: GTX 970
RAM: 16 GB DDR3 Ram
OS: High Sierra 10.13.3 (without Supplemental Update)

When I want to shutdown the PC doesn't finish the shutdown process. Instead I have to push the power button. Reboot on the other hand works!

Of course I did some research and quite a few people have this problem. I tried to use the "FixShutdown_0004" fix with clover configurator, but it didn't work.

I attached my config.plist.. maybe there is a solution I am just not aware of :)

Thank you very much!

Your config.plist says otherwise.

Try this edited version of your config.plist :

Wow thank you that new config.plist is working!!! How did you know which parts of it have to be modified? I compared these 2 versions with a diff checker.. there are a lot of changes..

It would be just interesting to know what exactly the issue was, so I can solve it in future on my own :)

I tried to set "FixShutdown" to true first, but that didn't work. Only your modified plist is working now!

It is possible to have two config.plist files (or more) open in Clover Configurator at the same time making it very easy to compare.

Hi,
i have a similar problem .. the only difference is that shutdown and restart were working before upgrading to 10.13.3 latest update .. since then the shutdown and restart hung on black screen and with mouse working.
fix shutdown was already present (and still present before upgrading). any suggestion is appreciated i attach a copy of my config (serial number a uuid have been changed).

Tks in advance

Fabrizio

Hey @P1LGRIM and anybody else,

Since few days I have the same problem like described by boern.

Unfortunately also restart won't work too. In both ways (shutdown or restart) it'll stuck on black screen with cursor and I have to press the power button to shut down. It'll be very nice if you could help me.

My specs are:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, Bios F16j
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060, 6GB with latest web driver
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
OS: High Sierra 10.13.6

I'm no expert on hackintosh so maybe it'll be helpful if you or anyone who knows could advise me what to do.

Thanks and have a nice evening.

Things I've tried so far:

- FixShutdown on Clover Configurator (nothing happened so I've unchecked it again)
- Darkwake =3 / =10 / =0 (nothing happened)
