Unfortunately, no... I'm no guru when it comes to getting Audio working. I simply followed MacMan's instructions as I've already mentioned, and it worked just fine. You might also want to check out what Stork did on his Z370 build. I think his steps to get audio working were *slightly* different than what I did.Everything worked for me except the audio. I followed your instructions including MacMan's patch prior to rebooting and still no audio. Any suggestions?

Check out post #13 where I talk about one of the devices that I use. I also have a CalDigit TB3 dock that I use for the native USB audio CODEC support (even though my mobo on-board audio is working fine, I prefer the audio from the CalDigit). The CalDigit is the only TB3 device I have at the present time, BTW. I also have a Pegasys2 R6 (12TB) that I use with this system, too. And yes, the speed test was the boot drive (Samsung 960PRO m.2).
Hi pooks. I haven't build the hack yet.
I guess that HD Native over TB (either with a PCIe chassis or with Avid's TB box) should work OK.
I was wondering if the PCIe card installed directly on the motherboard would work fine with the z370 chipset and High Sierra.
I've ordered the parts so I'll check it out myself.
how do you know the imac 18.3 system definition prevents the cards to work?
