a 1TB 960 pro is over $600, the 2TB 960 pros are $1223. I think I am going to replace the 960 pro in my tiny hack with a cheap SATA version or an EVO and use it initially in the "VMWare Hackintosh" I guess that's what I'll call it. Need a better name. Anyway, It will likely take a couple of years to get the whole thing populated the way I like. hoping the prices come down over time.

Do you really need the 960 pro? A 960 1TB for 450$ would not beed sufficient? The performance of the 960 1TB is still 4x the one of a regular SATA SSD.. A 960 500GB you should even get below 250$..

It is indeed really expensive toy. I am still waiting for better times to get monitor, RAM upgrade, better graphic card. Already invested in i9-7960X and ASUS x299 deluxe.

I guess by basically patching the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe with the most recent BIOS firmware patches provided by @interferenc ;)

BTW.. @TheOfficialGypsy, do you really still use BIOS 1004 as stated in your profile?
Apologies I didn't update the profile, I'm using 1102. Ever since using KGPs patched bios and final version of the X299 SSDT customised to my hardware sleep has been working well :)

I'll think it over. Like I said, I already have 1 960 pro 1tb and I really like it. The nvme 960 evo would likely do OK, but VMs are big. Pretty slow over SATA. 200GB ~> 400 seconds?

Anyone have an example for RX560 DSDT aml edits? I was searching the forum and only found Nvidia & RX vega .

Hi everyone, my system is working perfectly. How ever recently I added a HDMI 27" monitor, in additional to my DVI 30" monitor. Now on bootup, HDMI monitor is green unless I use NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext. Even with "NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext" my screen goes to black once i get to the load up screen(both monitors are black). If i unplug HDMI monitor, only use DVI 30" for bootup, everything is fine. I just plug hdmi monitor after logging in. Anyone know any solution?

using nvidia 106 webdrivers, 10.13.3

Enable CSM, if deemed necessary...

Good luck,

Hi KGP,

I just enabled Launch CSM in BIOS, and added the CSMVideoDxe in clover, now it works perfect. thanks!!!

Shouldn't the read be a bit faster?

In fact my read speed reaches up to 2700 MB/s.. did not put much attention and effort when producing the figure above.. just a quick shot with out loops or iterations..

Anyway, minimal performance loss when compared with the 960 Pro and 4-5 times faster than any SDD.. This is what I wanted to demonstrate to @macs_forever..
