Loloflatsix, did you have a chance to optimize your build? If yes, can you share your settings for motherboard?

I will share my EFI folder but only this evening, I'll be back from Paris in front of my hackintosh , if you may wait. ;-)

Sure I can wait! Appreciate your help!

By the way what you get on cinebench and geekbench? Were you able to do some extensive overclocking?

Clover configurator 4.60.1.0 doesn't let me type "Unknown" in CPU ➧ Type .... only numbers

And if you leave it just empty? Otherwise edit the config.plist by hand with e.g. textedit.app or use a former version of Clover Configurator..

Hello,

This guide is quite extensive and detailed. We are considering mimicking this build for a Pro Tools HDX studio system. Have any of you had experience with X299 running PT?

Currently we are running a 3770K on Sierra and experience instability in Pro Tools 2018 while using many software instruments. The CPU does not seem to be taxed, however, so it appears to be a software bug.

Hey guys, I'm having trouble patching NVidia driver for GTX 970 for 10.13.3- The initial Payload Repackager script works fine but after I update the info.plist, my CPU wont boot.

1)Downloaded WebDriver-378.10.10.10.25.106 for my Maxwell gtx 970 G1 and ran it through the Payload Repackager script.
2)Installed patched webdriver, reboots fine.
3)I go through the 2nd patch process of changing "17C2205" to "17D2047" (for 10.13.3) in info.plist, run the consecutive 4 terminal commands, attempt to reboot but no luck. Safe mode doesnt boot, NV_disable=1 doesnt boot, only fix is to mount hard drive and replace NDVAStartup with the backuped up file.

Verbose shows that it gets stuck in a loop which prevents the boot, outputting the code attached in picture.

I also purchased a GigaByte GTX 1050 to see if driver 387.10.10.10.25.157 would work natively, and while it does accept the drivers I am having sluggish performance with this card, even the clover screen transitions are weird & sluggish. Though Cinebench with the 1050 = 131fps / 4203.

Any ideas on whats going wrong with the 970 patch would be much appreciated.

I don't know what could go wrong if you really apply the web driver patching as outlined in my guide...

Your errors seem to related to ARPT, which in my case is the PCI variable I use for implement the Airport driver for the OSX WIFI..

FWIW, I'm running into some core audio problems dealing with console messages: performWatchdogOutput.
This is causing crackling in playback on my 7980XE 18 core machine running 10.13.3 whereas my 8 core 5960 rig running x99 & 10.13.2 did not seem to have this problem at the same buffer size. It is either 10.13.3 or the drastically reduced CPU speed when compared to the 5960. Although the geekbench score is around 50,000 as compared to 30,000 of the 5960, there is a bottle neck somewhere.

Although we would be using the HDX PCI cards and not onboard audio, I wonder if this is a point of concern.

I would rather wait and see what other users reply...

Cheers,
