VoodooTSCSync is a tried and proven solution to all X99 and X299 CPUs. Anyone who would like to use TSCAdjustReset.kext as an alternative is more than welcome, although be aware that it's not yet supported or trialed in the wider hackintosh community.
I've tried it and it made no difference at all to my system. So it works, but I would rather use the proven kext. This is my opinion only and others, as I said, are welcome to do differently.

Also please understand that anyone using your EFI unmodified will have issues if they aren't using an Asus motherboard with modified bios.
Please also understand that modifying your bios can lead to unanticipated issues and perhaps even bricking your motherboard or voiding the warranty.

Just stay in your underpopulated thread nobody seems to follow and spread there all your wisdom and knowledge nobody seems to be interested in either.

Anybody not trusting my guide or all valid contributions of few experts along this thread are free to follow Pete's advises and his thread:

Have a great time, over and out..

Pete, you jump into this thread without having read my guide nor followed the last 200 posts and dozens of pages with recent discussion and recent improvements and implementations! o_O

VoodooTSCSync.kext is OBSOLETE, also for Gigabyte boards! You can use TSCAdjustReset.kext know if you are not able to fix your BIOS for the Skylake-X TSC issue. o_O

Your actions are more than confusing, you are not up-to-date and you just further confuse the readers with your marvellous suggestions, ideas and comments. o_O

Can you please stop at this place to put the entire thread upside down? o_O

Is anybody here able to read and follow my guide or at least to follow the recent discussion? o_O

I will stop my support of this thread for now. We reached a point of no-go. o_O

All my work just seems a total waste of time.. o_O

Have a great day or night.

All the best,

KGP o_O

o_Oo_Oo_O emm....
@kgp ...
I will create/innovate for you a new LaserMagicGun for effing/bad posts here :p
 cheers :p ;)

BTW: You never waste time for this guide/this community,
it's just a few people who like to be like a Donkeys :p ...

Have a good night! :)

I don't know why you need to patch XCPM. I don't. Do you have any SSDTs? Maybe try getting rid of them.
The Designaire should work fine with my EFI, they have basically the same stuff excepting the TB.

Good idea with day to day activity!!!
I like it.
I run an Architectural modelling software called Archicad for about 10 hours a day.
It uses GPU (the Vega) when moving around in the model, and CPU when I render the model.

The only issue lately was the heatwave over here. I had to drop back the overclock to 4.6 to avoid crashes.

Thanks for the info.

If I don’t run XCPM patch and ssdt’s and tsync (the new one) terminal shows it as disabled.

It’s working great right now. But I’m gonna try removing XCPM again. I may have made a mistake.

My only biggest gripe is RX560. I’m not used to lower tier gpus. Waiting for nvidia fixes so I can put the Maxwells back in.

Should I be able to generate my own ssdt? Or is this normal?

You must have in your /Users/Your_user_name/Library/ssdtPRGen/Data/ the appropriate Skylake.Cfg
And perhaps select your CPU name i9-7980XE when you generate your ssdt

@kgp everyone is thankful for the hard work don’t be disheartened :)

No question is a dumb question. I don’t know why you get angry we’re just having a discussion. Even if you follow your guide to the T (which I did) there will be stability issues regardless because it’s still a hackintosh.

I don’t get why you get so angry over discussions. The first post is still there and we appreciate the constant updates. Don’t leave :)

@izo1 : What the heck you are talking about??? Which stability issues? There are none...
I didn’t had any issues with my ASUS X299 Deluxe and also my Designare is running perfectly and I use it everyday for work!
So what do you talking about? Of course there can be something, if you use an other Motherboard,
which just needs different patches or Kexts or whatever since there are different components
or just regular different Config.plist settings needed but this is an other story.

The guide is made for the X299 Deluxe by Asus, if you are not happy with your Board or you don’t have the knowledge or patients to get it up and running perfectly, then sell it and buy a Asus Motherboard, but don’t blame someone for your fail!

Would you try to mount 23 inch wheels on a car which is made for 18 inch max and scream damn it doesn’t fit ?

You're on a Vega 64. There are issues with RX560 (and probably RX580, which I am going to test in the upcoming days).

You didn't even want to post your EFI to help the community. I posted mine after modifications to the WiFi/BT module. There are many X299 boards out there and this thread only talks about Gigabyte and Asus. We need to compile a list so it works with other board manufacturers too.

I helped the community as much as I can, but you don't seem to care...

This is primarily an Asus Deluxe X299 guide, and anyone who is familiar with scientific pursuits will appreciate the impecable methodology set forth by KGP and other major contributors. I agree with KGP that if you are not here to experiment with the methodology as clearly presented and the apparatus necessarily entailed, don’t come here and troll or spread rumors (viz., meaning speculating on how the methodology might work beyond its intended devices).

Guys, relax... it's a new beautiful day.
KGP is very sensitive at few points and it's not without reason!

- When someone;
: Mix a lot of informations which can disturb others..., don't listen...,
- especially when he tried to help more people from different MB manufactures, not only ASUS Prime Deluxe,
but few seconds later someone post some stupid missleading info, instead of read LAST few pages... etc..

OK, I can confirm, that he is sometimes very impulsive :p, and it happens to forgot a fact:
--- a lof of people are not so clever or smart as we can think... even with so BIG great and detaled guide.

***(that is why,I liked very much his last changes with RED notifications for Blind amators,
which can save our time on posting X times, "USB name" have to be changed... etc :) :p

DSM2 know very well, I mean, he understeand very well why KGP is disgusted with some posts...
- especially when someone make a pee in his place ... :roll2:
and others: in my opinion, OK most of them, don't want to do nothing sooo wrong, but STILL don't understeand
how some little bad suggestions can be wrong in so BIG and important thread, which is basic for
most of users in the world with X299 platform!

... and BTW: How to ... not explose, when the same kind of problems/ kind of posts came back so often, and sometimes
with the same people ( still like a donkeys) ....
Voila :)

so.... Have a nice day! :)
Peace, Love and Cheers :D

Bye bye

Good riddance. ;)

It’s hilarious to see people take things so seriously. I’ve never seen such sensitive users.

Anything new I find I post here for others to see.

I’m on many hackintosh forums and discords and I’ve never seen people act like this. This is not what this community was built on. The ego need not be here for the community to thrive.

I care about this place so much that when the nvidia lag happened in high Sierra I searched and figured out a way to talk to Apple and spend days with their engineers going back and forth to find a solution. Do I need to talk about why I did it here? No I did it because it’s not only for me but also the community. You will benefit for my dozens of hours spent with them in the upcoming High Sierra updates. You guys seriously need to look and see why you’re being so prickly when it comes to this thread. You’re not doing people a favor. There’s plenty of places with same info as this.

It may be a language barrier that what you say or think in German doesn’t translate well here. In that case it’s fine but you’re both coming off very strong in terms of arrogance, self righteousness and extreme overconfidence.

Most people share their findings all the time that’s how these communities fund themselves.

Anyway I’m out. You two are sad in general and need to re-evaluate why you’re here.
