for Leonard ...but i'm new here.
Hello
I have z9pe d8 with 2690 V1 and 32gb dd3 1333 hynix. I can setup my sistem with sierra last version and use your information about setup z9pe d8 with el capitan ?

Hello MicroStudioDan,

Try the EFI folder in the link here because in this version there is no need for the bios mod.
Put videocard in slot 5.
Use vanilla Sierra with the latest Nvidia Web drivers.
If it does not work then it might just be bios settings.
If it does work just run the "audio_cloverALC-120" to get audio to work ok.

Good luck,

Leonard

thanks for your replay and efi file
One more question:
The better card for this sistem? z9pe d8 + 2x2690 v1
I have r9 280x , rx480 nitro saphire and maybe a gtx 1060 3gb
For more stability on final cut pro what card is more easy to instal and more stable?
I wold prefer gtx 1060 (or rx570)

Best to use the GTX 1060 but with the R9 280x it would be easier to upgrade macOS as it does not require new drivers on every update. With my GTX 750 Ti, I upgrade my system clone, and, after install, extract the new Nvidia web drivers with Pacifist and move them to the upgraded system. Then, after starting with the upgraded clone, I run the web drivers installer to properly install them. Test the upgraded system clone for problems and then clone the upgraded system to my main system drive. Or I use my MacBook or Mac Mini to update a clone and then place it back after web driver install.

All patches working at existing 10.12.6 installation

I was able to get full NVMe support by patching ROM of my motherboard with nvmexpress-dxe 3. I can make a guide but the only way to get it work is using windows. So if anybody wants , I will post the guide here.

Very interesting! A guide would be very useful. I'd suggest to open a whole new thread and post here the direct link, though.;)

Thank you for great guide!!! Who stack in a IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState it's a solution that works for me:
Install Sierra on a external drive from a real mac, install Nvidia WebDrivers on it and boot your Hak from that disk.

Good afternoon I've been trying to get High Sierra going on Z9PE-D8WS with a GTX 1070 for a while but only just had time to work on it again over the weekend with no avail.

I can install from the custom EFI boot loader that was provided by another member of the forum edited in Clover a bit with the settings that I think I need selected to get my GTX 1070 running, and it to picked up the 5K monitor like I did for the X79-UP4 system I'm also running. But that has a 1080ti in it and shows every thing correctly attached below. It installs fine restarts boots up in to 10.13.5 fine - "the graphic card is currently in slot 1", copied the EFI folder to my installed drive's EFI partition, and picks every thing up both CPU's full 128gb RAM, sound network, etc. bar the graphics when I install the Nvidia WebDrivers. It just starts up and the screen go's black/ to power save mode. So, then I tried and drop the Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext in to the Library/Extensions folder on the drive because the system is set as a Mac Pro 6.1 as recommended from the Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems page. Still nothing. I also have changed the system to a Mac Pro 5.1 still nothing.

Is it a case that I have to have the graphics card in the 5th PCI-e slot, as mentioned, for it to pick it up or have I gone wrong majorly somewhere. If anyone could help or post a working EFI for High Sierra, it'll be appreciated. Thanks to all in the forum.
