Motherboard
Dell Inspiron 17R (N7110)
CPU
i3-2350M
Graphics
HD 3000
Just got High Sierra installed on my Dell Inspiron 17R (N7110). Got everything up and running except trackpad and graphics, trackpad should be easy enough to get working so i'm focusing on graphics.

The CPU is an i3-2350M with Integrated HD3000 Graphics, now as far as I can tell these should work. The graphics appear to be injected as 'About this Mac' displays HD 3000 but only 3MB and no native res or QE/CI.

I have tried a lot of things including custom clover configs, DSDTs for this machine (That either do nothing or stop the machine booting) and patching the graphics.

This laptop doesnt natively support UEFI despite it technically being capable, however I am running a modded BIOS with UEFI booting unlocked and have macOS installed that way. (This is recommended for this machine).

I am using the MacBookPro8,1 SMBIOS as that seems closest to this machine specs-wise.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try next?, I have looked a lot around this sub and nothing i've tried has worked.

Thank you in advance!

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.

The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"
