Thanks! So I don't need to download the vanilla Install High Sierra.app from the app store to create the installer package right?

No... you don't need it :p

Try to delete that new folder on your desktop, run terminal and try step by step
copy, paste enter, copy, paste, enter etc... and I'm sure it will work great without that script,
simple copy/paste and you in few minutes all will be prepared :)
BTW: In some point it will be download 1 big file a little while, but then it will be fast... :)

Can I ask where you found a new version?
I didn't found it on official ASUS page...

btw... @kgp or others
in you EFI folder/ config from 17.01.2018 shared by KGP
SMBIOS -> I found "trust" option checked

This is first config when I see this option checked so I wanted to ask if we need that and
for what it is...? :D

I would not install this new Bios. It contains uCode Update for fixing Meltdown Bug and make more difficult to use Spectre V1 and V2 Bug. But brings, in some cases, big performance drop with it. (ImageEditing nearly 40% less performance). So you will loose a lot of performance and the Spectre Bugs are still not closed.

@zhengfu23: I would try to delete the file InstallESDDmg.pkg file from the ./091-33721 folder and relaunch the script. Maybe the file is corrupted and the productbuild command returns an error.

The shell script checks if the file already exists, so if the file is corrupted for any reason you always get an error because it is not re-downloaded again.

So I would try to delete the file and restart the script. If it doesn't work I really don't know how to help.
Which version of MacOS are you using to start the download procedure?

I updated my EFI on my usb drive and tried to reinstall another one copy on 2nd SSD ...
- I had few times our beautiful memory allocation error by that "Trust" option in Clover config/SMBIOS

The same error after 1st reboot while I tried to install OS X and the same error when I tried
to boot after installation, so simply I can't recommend "trust" option checked in our configs,
maybe it was little mistake when KGP prepared last EFI... I don't know, but it's good to know what is wrong
if you have the same error with last EFI .. :p

.... now, new system is installed and works great at this moment
so it's time for new benchmarks, tests etc. etc.. :D

And why does the trust option work for me? I always use it..

Maybe it is some difference of Memory sticks or some difference in XMP profiles,
if I remember well, you have manual configuration, maybe it is a reason...
I would like to find answer for that .. if you think that is important detail/option :)

because:
Used to give priority to memory descriptor values found in SMBIOS or SPD. Change if your memory is described incorrectly in Mac.
is still not comprehensible for me, because
it's great to find description, but still I don't know if it's important or not :p
