So I have my AMD Radeon HD 7470 Graphics Card working. The only problem is the screen resolution. It is 1280x1024, but my displays Native Resolution is 1920x1080. I have tried setting that as my resolution in clover configurator, and I have tried holding alt/option when selecting scaled in display preferences, but no matter what, 1280x1024 is the ONLY resolution that I can use/Shows up. Anybody know what the problem may be?

Hi!

Have you managed to get the 7470 card work fully with Graphics acceleration or are you still with the basic SW render resolution.
I am trying to get HS to work on a 7010 but with i5-3570 (which only has HD2500 (=not working))

Thanks

No I never did get this working. I ended up selling the system and using an older OptiPlex 380 which turns out to be easier to Hackintosh. For sierra that is... I am still trying to upgrade to High Sierra

Thanks for coming back. It is a real shame as otherwise this config is a stable one... I will need to see if I can make it work or just give in and get a CPU with HD4000 and or a compatible LP GPU.

I agree it is a very stable configuration. However, I am working on a Dell Optiplex 380 with a Core 2 Duo that is even easier to hackintosh and is also stable. Assuming you do not need too much performance, the NVIDIA GeForce 9300 is a good graphics card as it obviously uses NVIDIA web drivers. I have not yet gotten it to work on High Sierra, but it does fine on Sierra. Other than some refresh moments if you know what I mean. Kind of like how old tube tvs have those waves go down the screen? Thats what this machine will do at login, and when opening launchpad except they are black waves. here is a link to one on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Nvidi...313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xdell+latitude+e7440.TRS0
you can also find dms-59 to DVI splitters pretty easy.

Your card is not supported in high Sierra... you would need a card from the following series:
AMD Radeon HD 7000, HD 8000, 200, 300, 400 and 500 series
Nvidia - Most GeForce 600 series, most GeForce 700 series, and some GeForce 800M series
Also most likely the Cpu will not be supported going forward... probably the best bet for this computer would be a HD4000 capable CPU...

Did you ever get the 7470 working with a better resolution? I have basically the exact same setup (Dell Optiplex 7010 with ATI 7470) and I also cannot change the resolution no matter what I try.

No I did not.

No I did not.
OK, thanks for the quick response. I guess I'll ditch the 7470 and try to get the built-in HD2500 graphics working and see if I can make progress that way.

Are you wanting to get HS or are you content with Sierra?
