same as the front page, its what im using as well. however still issues with it.

Ah, didn't realize the front page had been updated with it. Started out over on that other site.

@kgp just a qucik question!

If I update my bios for pached one, can I still stay on Imac 17,1 SMBIOS? Or to feel the patched bios benefits I must use the Imac Pro SMBIOS?

Thanks as always your hard work!

Yes, you can continue to use the iMac 17,1 SMBIOS.

What do you achieve or fix with that? Fan Bug still there?

Greets

i dont know what this fan bug is...my fan doesn't seem to be spinning overly fast or overly noisey.

apparently it doesnt fix the fan issue. however the one entry seems interesting to me and may reflect the fan somehow.

Code:
                            "PP,PP_DisableAutoWattman",
                            Buffer (One)
                            {
                                 0x00
                            }

Allright, do you see any chance to give it a try as soon as possible? Although I realised that the HWMonitor.app was not modified at all. The modifications within 3r75 apparently have been solely sensor kexts related.

just checked out 3r86

Yeah, please report what changes with this. With Fan Bug I mean that the fan is spinning much faster than in 10.13.0 (in IDLE) If I play a Video on Youtube the Fan is getting slower and nice quiet.

Yes, you can continue to use the iMac 17,1 SMBIOS.

You can continue using SMBIOS iMac17,1, but within a couple of hours there will be no guide anymore for Skylake-X/X299 with SMBIOS Mac17,1 ;):lol:

I am assuming this is an installer available from their web site? Perhaps a bit more help (direct link) would be nice. I went to their site and got the first thing I found, "Driver and Software for Mac". The installer only shows the drivers:

Edit: I just realized you wanted a specific motherboard, not mine. So perhaps it is not relevant what I posted.

Thx man for the try! <3 You got the right installer, but stopped too soon (I wasn't clear enough, haha). Install it, run it and check it by right clicking on the icon (then some 4-5 entrys appear). Mainboard must not be necessary from Asus its more bout the x299 chipset. And one question, do you have a working thunderbolt card or option on your MSI Board?

My need is quite specific I know, so I appreciate your help really!

This is how it should look like:

i dont have that issue. my fan speed never really changes (that i can hear)

All is working fine, but since today even shutdown is broken. System keeps on. only display is off.
Anyone else having that problem?

Unfortunately, I might have misunderstood what I have to do. I don't have any hardware from MOTU. Is my test still relevant to your needs? I got this:

I don't have a TB card. My motherboard has a USB 3.1 gen2 type C. Is that a TB port?

Also, my audio driver is VoodooHDA. It is working well.
