Hello,

I’m trying to update my system to High Sierra 10.13.2. It boots off the USB fine and starts the loading process. It fails at the end and just hangs. I see a lot of errors in Verbose mode but not sure what’s the actual issue is. Here’s the Verbose screenshot. I’ve been running a Hackintosh since Snow Leopard and never had this many challenges or issues.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated

Motherboard Gigabyte H97M-D3H
Intel i5
NVidia GTX 750.

Insure you're running the latest version of clover, also the very latest version of lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext, these two kexts are mandatory for this card and must be placed in the 'other folder' on the EFI partition, I don't think it is absolutely necessary to inject Nvidia in your config.plist as the latest clover version will automatically load the drivers. I have the same card and that is how I got around the problem. Good luck.

Thanks. I tried those suggestions and still hangs towards the end.

I don't see why you should be having such a hard time, I think you need to look at the patches in your config.plist again on the usb installer. If you used Clover Configurator deselect all the patches in the 'Acpi' tab but insure 'FixHeaders' box is ticked you can add what your system may need later. Only place the absolute minimum two kexts in the kext folder for the moment i.e just the FakeSMC.kext and your Ethernet kext. Forget about Nvidia web drivers until you can reach the desktop, you can install that after you've establish a stable booting system.

Still No Bueno. I think its something to do with the USB but not really sure. The Clover printout doesn't really say much to help troubleshoot.

Any luck on this? I seem to be having the same issue, just hangs on USB doesn't matter whether or not I use UEFI or Legacy boot options. Running a Gigabyte GA-Z270-D3H mobo which only has USB3.0 unfortunately. Is that possibly the issue?

Removed Nvidia card and was able to install OS. No hangs after install. Never ending issues
