pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

No, I don't think I've ever seen that on my system... How long does it use up so much of the CPU? Does its usage go down after a period of time?

I never even booted up with the original, included Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card. I do know that they can be turned on/off in BIOS so that's another option for disabling them.

With each boot, UserEventAgent (consuming 80% of CPU) runs for a different amount of time. 30 minutes, 1 hour, non-stop. Usage doesn't decline. The process either consumes a lot or stops. That said, I'm happy (and nervous) to report the problem went away. I didn't change anything (to my knowledge).

One more thing. In your "success post," you mentioned your idle temp at 5 GHz is 35 degrees Celsius. Is your CPU running at 5 GHz or a lower frequency (via power management)? Thank you.

I did a search for "Month 13 is out of bounds" and, apparently, it's a bug with macOS. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the next release.

At 35C, the system is idle with CPU at about 800MHz. Keep in mind that my CPU has been delidded.

Awesome. That's my temp, too. Thanks!

First off thank you for the reply and also for uploading a third EFI file for those who want to go that route.

I did try installing with that new EFI folder and the computer crashed at the same spot. After reaching the black apple logo screen it reboots at about 40%. This is after I select "Boot OS X Install from Install macOS High Sierra" from the Merry Christmas menu. Any idea what else it could be? I'm going to try completely wiping the HDD and creating a new EFI partition to see if that does anything.

I just tried for the last two hour to boot a USB installer with the UHD 630 and repeatedly encountered the "Windowserver exited with abnormal error code: 1". I don't know if it's because I still had my GTX 1080 installed (I really didn't want to take it out) or if it was something else, but I tried many things, including:
  • Different kexts
  • OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi/OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi
  • Different configurations of config.plist

I've deleted the EFI folder meant for UHD 630 users until I can get it working.

Great news! I added the GPU and reformatted the HDD, and the install was successful using your EFI. I tested booting from HDD and that was also successful. So things are looking way better from here. Thank you for the help!

The wife is taking me out tonight for my birthday so no post-installation shenanigans for me today. I'll update the thread as I progress.

Great. Happy birthday!

I know that my EFI works with a video card installed, but I don't know why I can't get the USB installer to boot using just the UHD 630...

Edit:
Okay. I pulled my GTX 1080 and tried my UHD 630 EFI again and it booted right in to the installer. So I will put it back in post #1.

Are you saying that your ethernet and audio are not working? That doesn't make sense. They have been working for me from the first moment...

Yes thats the issue that i have :)
I have everything else working Cuda and Webdrivers.. I just get audio from my UX2 extern usb soundcard

Try using MultiBeast and installing the audio drivers:
