Hi, I haven't been able to boot the installer. It keeps going to the old Yosemite bootloader

Only conclusion i can come to is because i wasn't able to download full installer through the App Store. As i was getting a 19Mb file after some research was able to download via the High Sierra Patcher ( http://osxdaily.com/2017/09/27/download-complete-macos-high-sierra-installer/ )

My 2009 MacbookPro is also not able to download from appstore as it is "incompatible"

Thanks
jugglehard, don't use this method via High Sierra Patcher, had no luck with it as well. Right now I have no other suggestion besides finding another mac to try to download officially the full installer.

Would any great soul care to upload it?

Ok, I was able to DOWNLOAD the High Sierra Installer ( Installed the Sierra then downloaded from App Store  )

Bootloader gets stuck before reaching installer

"Tue .... iMac.local com.apple.xpc.launchd [1] (com.apple.WindowServer.573) <Warning>: Service exited with abnormal code:1
Tue .... iMac.local com.apple.xpc.launchd [1] (com.apple.WindowServer) <Notice>: Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds."

[EDIT] / [SOLVED] Was abble to fix the Installer to Load by choosing NOT TO INJECT Nvidia Drivers upon Unibeast creation, and unticked nv_disable=1 on Clover Configurator [SOLVED] [EDIT]

Up and Running  Will do tests and check if NVME works on the next couple of days.

So far, only sleep not working, oh well...

Thanks Malki

Hey Malki, it's me again, now for the big issues

[SOLVED (learning a lot today): If you by any chance update clover, don't forget to copy the kexts already installed with Unibeast to the updated Clover folder inside the EFI partition!!! In other words, follow malki's guide to the T and you'll be fine!

Malki, You're a hero, man. I've spent the last hours tuning everything and I'm almost sure that everything works flawlessly. Thank you very much once again!]

About 3-4minutes in I get to this Service exited with abnormal code: 1. It doesn't restart, though. Keeps giving me these "kestd stall: 'AppleAPCICPU'" each 240s.

Ever ran into something like this when trying to get to the installer? I've tried nv_disable=1 already but I guess it might be something to do to fooling the installer about my CPU?

Thanks!

Glad you got it!

Great! Glad it's working! Too bad sleep not working for you, not sure why that is. Make sure you have all kexts installed and clover up to date

Hey Malki, as expected, audio stops working after a while, as well as sleep/wake, but wtv. The rest is great. On the other hand, I've experienced a few random reboots, for no apparent reason (once I was watching a video on vlc the other time I was copying a few files between drives). No kernel panic warnings, logs or crash dialogues after reboot. Have you had any issues like this before? No issues on my Yosemite SSD, so not hardware related, I guess...

I've experienced these issues on other builds before, with completely different hardware, usually under heavy load. I wish there was an easier way to diagnose it.

I am sorry to hear that. I have not had any crash's, any problems with sleep wake (although I don't use this function), any random reboots at all. I push my computer to the max with 4k video editing for hours and hours. High bitrate clips with large filesizes and it runs smoother than on Windows. If it wasn't for video editing I would probably not run Mac Os at all. Aside from that i browse the internet, watch youtube, post on forums etc its been smooth.

Hi Malki, Thanks again for the setup. My audio still works after 3 weeks.. The only issue is my fans are running faster than in windows environment. In windows it's almost silent when just browsing internet etc.. But in OSX they are running at half speed all the time, with minimal CPU usage. The fan control is working because the fans do run to full speed when doing some renderings..

Any suggestion?

Hi. I have a similar build as the OP but different motherboard: GA-X99M-GAMING 5. Would I be able to follow this guide for my system?

Glad it's working. Not sure about the fans though.
