GTX 660 glitch issue with MacOS High Sierra 10.13

i just give up and roll back to sierra where everything works just fine.
in my opinion nvidia cards are just not worth the hassle.

many people tend to forget, that all those blazing fast nvidia cards are outperformed by quite cheap ati cards when it comes to 'work' (not gaming) performance in macos.

so i just stick to sierra for now, and maybe i'll give an ati r560 a try.

Seems like this glitch is related with issues on High Sierra install. Everything worked fine in Sierra, couldn't even run HS installer without removing GPU (660) from the system, but install with non-supported gtx 1050 went fine.

As a temporary workaround changing Color Profile / resolution at least make it possible to work, without running iPhoto, Adobe and such no full screen glitches, I guess we'll have to wait for Apple to fix this.

switch board id to imac 14,2 (
Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61)
and leave the rest to imac 18,3. Use latest lilu &nvidiagraphicsfixup. Lag will dissapear.

Crazy idea.. has anyone downclocked their card? (Some of the 660s are factory overclocked) and was wondering if this could play a part in the issue. I vaguely remember the overlock being an issue in the very early days of mountain lion

Maybe i'll install Windows and see if i can kill the overclock to see if it makes a difference.

Mine is just an EVGA base model, non-overclocked. So there goes that theory.

Hello guys. I was also looking for any good news from this topic.
I use Asus GTX660 1Gb graphics card.
I tried both macos driver and nvidia web driver.
Also I've installed Nvidia Cuda.
My os version is 10.13.1. Everything works perfect except this awful graphics artifact.
That's not hard to install Sierra but we all live in hope to get the fix for our issue....
